I always like to check out what sorta Aussie community there is for a new game. So bumping this thread, us Aussies/Oceanics need all the support we can get!

I'm not entirely sure we need a separate server, and I'm not sure that I want one. I DO want to face off with 'merikans and russians, hell even the french for cannon fodder.

If the matchmaking system is solid then we should be put with similar-ping and similar skill players. If there are no skilled Oceanoids to kill then we go up against the Occidents, simple as that.

If it were only Oceania/whatever based then just think about how much more of our game chat is going to be either a bunch of squares or 'Panji jot il nanga po???!' etc.

The best current game comparison seems to be World of Tanks, when playing that yeah I get lag issues every now and again, but it's not a game breaking issue. I'm not entirely against the idea of our own server, but unless the gameplay is pear shaped because of lag, I'm not really for it.

Fair enough, but on the similar ping point.....We would be playing those near us anyway, thus it would make sense to have a server in the region.

have ****** all experience in MW. used to play MW2 mercs then one of my mates showed me this online and started getting twitchy again. so I downloaded MW4 Mercs and having a ball again.

must admit hacve always loved this series.

It is good to be here I have had the sinking feeling that Mechwarrior/Battletech was on a downward spiral to be lost in oblivion but when I found out they were developing MWO it showed how much that not only was MW/BT wanted by hardcore fans but also by a newer generation of Mechwarriors.
