I am not Australian, but I support all of my Oceanic brothers and sisters in their fight for their own severs.

I hope that the game can be popular on a worldwide scale and for this to happen people need to have servers in their own region so that they may play with decent ping.

Even playing as a European on American servers is a pain, if you are lucky you may have a ping in the low 100s but that is far from fair or ideal.

It is great to see that there are heaps of MW players downunder. I was one of the beta testers for ISWar's a couple of years back and we had a very small contingent of aussies involved. When ISwWar's went under I thought that was it for MW.
Now there is MWO, "Bring It On"
I am SA based and I can vouch for a mate of mine in NSW (Boxpacker),
We are definitely here to play, and now that we know that there is an Aussie/Kiwi Unit.

+1 more from EnZud here, Although I have had no major issues with US servers for GuildWars, SW:ToR, WAR or EVE, lag spikes still do occur (at the worst times generally) so something a little closer to home would be nice.. and our internet is almost 3rd world in NZ.

I'd like to see a little competition devlop as well. 1 ANZAC unit is great but that means it will be too large for everyone to be hitting the beachhead at the same time. If we have a couple of allied units we can start looking at carving out some territory and making a decent play at being a power!

Of course when the Clans are released I intend to find other Aussies to join me in forming a Clan unit as well.

Another Aussie here, I just signed up today but I've been watching this game for months now. Actually looking into the founders packages brough me here today heh, btw can we get in on those or is it for US customers only? As for me I'm not playing too many online games atm apart from WoT and this looks very similar in a lot of ways so I can't wait to try it out ...It has been many many years since I've played a MechWarrior game.
