Will this mech be seen as soon as the Clans first invade? http://www.sarna.net...Rhino_(Behemoth)

IIRC, the Stone Rhino was first spotted on Tukayyid in 3052.
The design is far older then that though.

While they are certainly cool and effective, they are also extremely rare. If they are put in though, they should not be easily available - I have an idea for this, the Annihilator, and similarly rare 'Mechs where putting a ton of time and effort into their weight class could unlock them for use - less because of their effectiveness in battle, and more just for their rarity. They'd be a status symbol more than anything.

It's a design from the 28th century... but the only Clan using it for its front units are the Smoke Jaguars. Because of its scarcity I doubt it very much, that we will see this 'Mech. I'd love to fight a binary fielding one of these 'Mechs, taking this monster out as soon as possible, and getting my *** handed to me in the follow up :) But, I don't think the devs will put much efford into designs we can't use because of them being super rare.

Its also a second line clan mech. Second line mechs were mostly used for garrison duties, which why it wouldn't be seen until late into the invasion.Though I suspect that the stone rhino might have been used by some front line units. Still, its a rare mech. Im still not sure how MWO will handle canonically "rare" mechs in-game.

Yes, thats the point. Having a status that says you own a rare (and super awesome and powerful) clan mech is pretty cool if you ask me. :)

Thats right, it was around in 3050 but as it's not an omnimech it's classed as a second line mech and is just used to protect rear areas and bases, so therefore won't be seen in clan assaults :)

Behemoth was always more impressive in the novels than in the games/tabletop.

give me a proper Clan heavy over an assault mech anyday. Besides, 2-3 BAs can eat an assaults lunch.

Even if it will be implemented, expect it to look much different then the original.

The Stone Rhino was originally developed in the inner sphere and was named "Amaris Behemoth" but the project failed. The clans completed this failed IS-design. Canonically, only the Smoke Jaguars use this monster. Like other rare mechs, the Stone Rhino also should be exclusive to its faction.

Well, yes. Canonically, only CSJ have access to its production facileties, and manufactures it, and fields it regulary in its forces.
That does not mean I can not take it from you. :)

Wrong, this Mech is not a CSJ exclusive Mech.

OT: That beast is as legendary as the WW2 Maus. I'd love to see this monster spit fire and bring terror and destruction to the Inner Sphere. Easily one of the most intimidating Mechs alongside legendary Mechs such as the Kodiak and the venerable Atlas. *thumbs up*

I believe they were very rare and mostly seen among the Smoke Jaguars, it is not an omni-mech either.

Try it, warden bear, try it! B)
Another example: The Annihilator is exclusive to the Wolf's Dragoons, but i hope i can take it from them.

Right! It's not a omnimech and only the Smoke Jags use them in their frontlines. Just myths and speculations that other clans had some in their toumans...

Whatever...It would be nice, if rare mechs like Annihialtor or Stone Rhino were available in MW:O sooner or later.
