I like the Champion, but I think the Quickdraw may be the more desirable chassis because of its jumping capability.

Lancelot. I like speed and firepower plus you can run hotter without worrying about ammo explosions. Also has the benefit of never running out of ammo.

Going with the Lancelot on this one for more variety.

My vote goes to the Quickdraw. Not because I'm a big fan, but because it's a classic.

I seems a decent mobile unit, a different take than the Dragon on a 60-tonner, and a poor-man's Grasshopper.

Arnold,

the champion I listed is from the 3039 book and is non star league, there are starleague variants so I did not list them, believing that we wouldn't get advanced tech in a beginning mech

chris

I guess you mean the CHP-2N? (as listed on sarna)
I had only a look into the TRO 3025 (Revised) and 3050 (Revised), both published by FASA. In both there is only the CHP-1N listed.

Well, if you're not going to put the Rifleman in there, then I suppose the Lancelot will have to do. We don't have any large lasers in the game yet.

Funny how, despite the thin armor and heat issues, with a good pilot the Rifleman stops a mudhole in all four of these selections.

I'd go for the Lancelot.

I've got to say Lancelot, and not just because of Arthurian legends. In around 3052 the Star League variants will be out, and the Lancelot is the best mech out of the listed three due to its speed and range.

In 3049 only, I'd have to go with the Champion just because I like the stumpy arms.

rifleman always loved the iconic look, no Garth doesn't mean it is one of my favorites but boy does it have lots of variations and FD would make this look amazing
