So what you want is a one-click alpha-fest, and you complain about the 'fps' crowd? Or is it that you want some dice to do the aiming for you, yet you complain about the 'casual' crowd?

Yes, heat is ****** up. This is known and a lot of us are trying to get that fixed. But doubled armor and higher fire rate are an intentional counter to one-hit alpha kills, poptarting, and all the stupid crap... from MW4.

so one click alpha fest? really? I complain about a fps crowd in a sense that they want to 'live' threw a 'hail storm'.

It already happens, jenner runs to base, big guy doesnt do much, jenner chews out half the armor because, big guns dont actually do initial damage that would and does negate manuverability.

And some dice could be put into the game, seen it done. The reticle is a circle based on the depth of the weapons. Within that circle you have a 'probablity' factor. Makes sense considering the mech is 'moving' around.

The reason the damage model in BT universe is rather awesome, is because there is the risk reward factor. Sure im big, with a big gun, can kill little guys, but i have to hit them. The idea of hte little guys is, they move fast, really fast, and can be a pain.

You also act like the game isnt already an alpha-fest, how many lrm boats do i see that are immune to such alpha weapons because double armor? Or a raven that can sit back, with a gauss, and take a gauss in return...letting them get away with sniping with no penalty for putting a big gun on a tiny guy.

anyhow, i know what double armor rewards...more play, fast mechs and second chances, and the proof is already in the beta. But i will live with it cause its been sooooooooooooo long for a mechwarrior game.

I would pay for content. Special ops style (co-op preferred) missions that would result in cbill and xp rewards. It would be great to see lance missions such as raiding or out post defense that could contribute to the progression of your factions if successful.

Personally I'd pay for in game currency, but not at current prices, cut it in half then i'd do it. I highly discourage going in a P2W direction. custom paint jobs on your mech for a few dollars is also something i'd pay for. decals and ornaments as well. you know how TF2 is... but if you go Play to win, there's gonna be a major problem.

aesthetic stuff... i'd pay for a lot of aesthetic stuff over time.

I saw it posted at least 3 times but i'm still going to say it again.

Customization of your mech's paint scheme, nothing too ridiculous but different camo and subdued colors would be nice. Also a player specific decal, something like you see in Call of Duty or like the heraldry shields in Crusader Kings 2. I know it's already in the Dev's heads since the Founders mechs look different, but i would assuredly pay to make my mechs look awesome. Much like Phelan Kell and his bloodhound.

i want really high interaction with envroiment:
-rocks and waterwaves smaller to suggest the size of mech
-utilization of physx in game to allow destruction of everything (buildings, trees, cars, etc; even the ground when striked by projectiles>>craters and debris; waves in water in the same manner; etc)
-dust should be raised by mechs in movement >> fog of war
-evreything should have shadow in movement(sun in movement)
-mechs even greater detail (in relief)
-i suggrest defence of base with turrets and walls
-i suggest a preparation phase before entering in battle
a photo of map from sattelite and mechbay in order to have best mech before action

Wow, this thread has been around since, like, the beginning of the internet. ;)

How about team-purchasable cosmetic options for your base in the capture game mode, or for the (as yet unimplemented) commander actions: e.g. skins and unique models for drones and aerial strikes, etc.?

Also, though I don't think I would bite myself, I could see a partnership with an on-demand 3D printing outfit turning out well... Your favourite 'mech, rendered lovingly in plastic and replete with your custom logo/decal/etc. (and souvenir dogtags!) delivered to your door...

I had some Ideas about "cheap" MC-Only Modules/Equipment that can be equipped in Module Slots or open critical slots. Things that don't give you any real advantage, but do make the game more interesting/fun/personalized.
  • "Mech ID" Module - Allows the user to see not just the Enemy's Mech Varaint, Weapons, Health, and Username after you acquire a target lock for a certain period of time, but also the unique, personal name they gave to their Mech
  • Classic RPG "Hit" tags - Whenever you score hits on the enemy Mech, instead of just your reticule glowing red like it currently does, the word "HIT" in a small white font gets displayed above your enemy's head for a brief moment and floats up while disappearing.

Im not sure if this has been Said allready here but my suggestion would be The option For a Clan / Team be able to pay $3 each PP (Per Player) for exclusive Clan options and benifits only on purchase thus making the more Dedicated Gamers out there are allowed to show there Custom Clan logos they have made for themselvs and be able to be put on certain parts of there mechs and or Custom banners ie Flags / Drape banners hanging from the rear of the mech/s

This idea might be something similar to others in this thread but i see it as The game has potential why not make it able to have the compitition Team work ability with Ladders and Teams go head to head for either capture the flag or 1 life Team Death match or hold youre fort longer than they can hold there fort ie one attacks other defends next round switch around BO3 (Best of 3 )

Plus i would so pay for Pre made Finishing moves and or custom Finishing moves would be funny to see a mech do a battle cry or a moon walk lol at the end of a mission or a match / Clan match that they have won or something

B) :)

If I see an Atlas doing a handstand, I will, quit. Now, on to more pressing matters...

Hi,

i would buy:

the game, in a box, in the store, unseen, instant.

alternatively:
Paintjobs, decals, blingbling (in- and outside)

The problem is not to annoy those who want or can not spend much money. Otherwise there may be a problem to keep the game alive (aside from the fans).

other idea: personalized, custome named mechs with saved history on it (kills, matches, previous owner, participation in great Battles or leagues). Owning the mech of a great veteran player would be nice.

greetings

oh and i forget:

a sp-campaign. A revival of the MW3 story would be awesome - in coop: epic.

(including a entry in the mech history: "survivor of damocles" *dream*)

ok i don't know if this would match in the games timeline...

EDIT: a few more ideas :)

1.) I would pay for specific type hardpoints. (not game changers one projectile hardpoint on a C1 as e.g. not extra... just a replacement of a missile for instance)
2.) the ability to pick a map.
3.) target info copied on the inside cockpit. (not a game changer just convenient)
4.) A blow horn! Where I could celebrate my kills. A little toot over a kill won't change the game. (maybe customizable sound perhaps?) I would pay extra for that. Could only be used for a short duration after a kill. (or else it would sound like a European soccer game)
5.)1 coolant everybody gets but needs to buy to refill (not a repair). I would buy coolant to fill a tank of it so I wouldnt have to wait to earn it.)
6. ) A lounge area... entrance fee (one time) could talk with other mechwarriors.
7.) a message LED on the back of the mech...like a changeable license plate or taunt system.
8.) The ability to buy things for other players. (like those above)
9.) I would pay for things in a shop to decorate my mech with.
10.) I would pay for extra maps (before they became free).

moron this later.

53 pages saying nothing that would move me to even get an paypal account.

to be honest iam not ready to pay for somthing that was already there in the games predecessors or is just a variation of the same,.

iam also fascinated by the 'speed' of the project, actually it could be made by an demotivated one-man-army in thier freetime from what you can see (a good game doesnt need a super sophisticated website and forums, it just needs to be a good game).

but there are things i would pay for, cause last predecessor failed to archive that:

cannonicy to the letter,
including the unseen mech designs,
no redesig garbage

Sadly I woulnd't pay for anything on mech warrior online.

I was hoping this game would be good, since I played many mech games and enjoyed them.

I also do not really pay for things in free to play games, I'd rather buy a game outright that isn't f2p and get 50x the content.

To expand on OP's post what would everyone think about having a circular economy when it comes to custom nose art and such. Charge an upload fee in MC to upload the file. Other players who aren't able to make one (for whatever reason, artistic ability etc.) could then commission a player to do a custom design for them. So I charge them xx amount of money for the design, pay the upload fee and collect whatever my fee was decided upon for the player wanting the design. This has worked well in a few other communities I have been a part of and has a pretty steady influx of MC purchases for the game. Just an idea to help generate income for PGI and players alike

I think a way to solve the" is it appropriate decal would be to have several modifiable decals that could be bought for cheap" then you pay more for a approved custom design that is kept track of in game for popularity. This should spawn a competition of sorts that could generate more money over a longer period of time with people battling it out over how many people like the art work and modified that art work. Just an idea to mull over. :) Replicated art work is kept track of only by the number of times the art has been modified. Some modifications should be texture, color, placement ie a "kick me" sign on someones back. Also this would help populate Merc company art work for individual Mech companies. Any art work you do belongs to and is donated to the game. Popular "nose" art like the WWII nose art on planes should be looked at to for referances edgy but with a bit of decorum. e.

Also more Medium mechs are needed. The game should reflect that mediums are the work horses of the Inner Sphere while Assualt and Heavies are the spike that finishes the job. Look at the Histories of the Inner Sphere. Larger Mechs that appeared on the field sounded the dreaded intentions of permanate occupation not some raid for parts, resourses, or tech.
I dont know though I would put it out there.
