I'd pay for Euope based Server, like we were promised in early beta but then suddendly seemed to disappear, funnily enough thats when I registered my founders, feeling a little done by now.

The game is all about lag and hit detection, thats just not possible at 170 ms to a US server from the UK

pre-paid cards would be nice for players that don't like entering credit card information, if thats in the works that would be great, but ya skins and accessories for your mech and mech cockpits is a great idea. already see some colors and skins I would like to pay for, but no pre-paid cards are out yet. I know its still beta but when game launches this would be great! would also be great advertisement in gamestop stores and other gaming stores like walmart and best buy. But any other ideas like decals on mechs is another way for players to pay for the support of the game. but keep all game modes free, especially when you guys teased me with the conquest idea would like to hear more about that once you guys get the ideas down for what game modes you want to run, capture the flag would be great. keep up the good work PG.

I noticed a previous post of mine also fits this topic. It is sort of specific in that I would be interested in funding a type of development and I think many other people might be intersted also but that is to be seen. My idea was in a nut shell that the community and developers propose ideas which are posted to a project board and the ideas are then funded by the community and in return players are rewarded credits and a vote in project development while the game also remains free to play. The full idea is here:

http://mwomercs.com/...jects-for-hire/

You have no idea what you are talking about ( at least this is what i think ) . 1st at hand , the devs wont ever do such a thing by sole purpose of the main idea of MWO , which is keeping it real to the Mech Warrior lore . And the things that aren't changing this , aren't worth working on them because they have way more important stuff to work on , and let's say they'd agree , it would have a very expensive cost , and for that amount you need more then just 1 player , meaning , that more people had to agree to the "idea" and like it so much that it will make them pay for it to happen. I dont say it's impossible, because i cannot speak in the name of the DEV team , but still , i believe it will never happen.

A mankini for my Atlas's 10ft robocock.

You've all seen them just swaying as they walk, don't try and deny it.

The ability to pay MC, instead of having to buy multiple mechs of the same class, to get to the next lvl of Pilot bonuses.

I'd pay for
cheaper MC paint jobs, half the current price sounds really good :P
cheaper cockpit items, again half the price "current".

Decals

small extra charge for personal uploading of Decals (these would have to be cleared before allowed ofc)

basically I'd pay for the stuff in-game atm if it wasn't so blatantly expensive.

you can already do this - you use MC to buy 3 (or 2 if you already have one) mechs
you don't have to play each of these mechs either, you can use MC to convert XP from your favourite mech in to GXP to unlock all the basics / elites on the chassis you don't want to play

I understand but that can get expensive. What I'm saying is for 100-300 MC you can unlock them.

You worry about them keeping it real to mech warrior lore but even they may decide eventaully to stray (depends on what you consider canon and everything evolves over time. Languages, money, economy, warfare, ect.). The concept I wrote about states that they have authority what gets posted to the project boards. I doub't they would post something they considered would be detrimental to them. The idea is just an evolved foundation for free to play that I thought was origional. All the concept does is let people put their money where their mouth is and choose what they wan't the most. It also encourages people to post good ideas and lets them know their voice is heard (those who pay). But even those who don't can still propose ideas.

oh yeah, an sp campaign.

I would really love a campaign, my favorite moments in the mech universe were from a single player campaign. I would pay 30 to 40 dollars for said campaign.

Another option I would pay to play is a stronghold or survival feature. You and a few other mech pilots pitted against waves and waves of computer controlled mechs coming at you where you need to stand your ground. It has been successful in other games and is nothing different from MWO.

Yeah, I'd really recommend reviewing the pricepoint for a lot of this stuff. I obviously have no access to the transaction records for MWO, but it would be real interesting to see how many people are actually dropping cash on MC at this point, vs. how many founders are just using what they have. It seems to me that the whole point of an F2P model is to make items available at a relatively low price, so that the entire player base is like "Christmas lights? For a dollar? Sure!" rather than putting it up for around eight bucks and having a small handful of players buy it. You make your new mechs $5. Everyone buys them. You make them $30, not so many people will pick them up. I mean, I could be way off base here. But it seems to me that it would be more successful to reduce the price so that all the players were actually purchasing MC. I really respect that MWO isn't "pay to win," so I'd hate to see the prices drop only to see high-dollar "supermechs" come out. ANd if the current pricing model is working, there's no reason to fix it. But a lot of the players I've talked to (which is admittedly a very small sample) aren't going to get MC for anything except 'Mech bays, because they feel like everything else is just too expensive.

Furthermore, if you leave the cost of the 'Mech bays alone and drop the price of the 'hero' 'Mechs, that will only encourage players to buy more 'Mech bays. Just a thought.

Also, and I'm sure this MUST have been mentioned here before: PUT IN A SINGLE-PLAYER TUTORIAL. I cannot stress this enough. The current loyal playerbase is probably almost exclusively MW vets, with a handful of new players. The only way to get new people involved and comfortable besides good old-fashioned word of mouth (and I'm trying, guys! I'm trying!) is to teach nuggets how to drive their damned ride! No one is going to want to play a game that's basically incomprehensable to them. "Heat level critical? What the hell does that mean?" /quit. So seriously, the videos and stuff are all good and well, but you need to have a big red 'Tutorial' button to really hang on to new players. It doesn't even have to be very complecated. Bare bones, no dialogue, on-screen instructions. Of course, the more dressed up it is, the better new players will respond to it. But I understand budget constraints and coding time. Still, I think this would really benefit the game. Once the metagame goes live I think we'll be able to pull in more players by word of mouth, but probably a lot of those will view this as a secondary game to WoW or GW2 or whatever it is they play (at least at first) so any way to pick up incidental new players is probably good.

I mean, if you wanted to get REALLY elaborate, you could actually do some role introduction in this hypothetical tutorial. Y'know, things like "This is a brawler. This is a sniper. Scouts are GOOD." That sort of thing.

I would love to pay for paint schemes and decals, but I won't as long as they are set up like they are.

Let me buy paint schemes/colors/decals and actually have them, kind of like the bobbleheads. No point in buying something that has no longevity.
