Yea! Pay for Power model!!!
as for what I'd pay for? car stickers like the stickers you see which represent family members and pets, only these would portray the mechs in your stable.

when it was available originally my comp could not play this game and i had no realistic expectations of getting a new comp any time soon....i now have a comp that can play, but founders is closed.
Other items -
paint/camo - but it should be permanent and usable on any mech you own.
Kills and deaths stickers (1 sticker is 10 kills or deaths - or just a number next to a single sticker - and you can only place as many as your stats would actually allow)
Mech Name visable to others (if tthis isnt already possible)...still new remember....
I also agree with being able to be part of real house and merc units as a premium. Its about prestige (bragging rights) vs actual functionality so no unbalancing effects.

It may also be ok to pay for a MechBay but it would be a nice idea if it maybe could give some alternatives to real money for that... maybe GXP would be a ncie idea... or a high C-Bill Price

What would I pay for?
I would pay for MW:O, if bug fixes (eg. MechLab problems, Crash-To-Desktop, PAK-file corruption, installer issues, thermal-vision issues, and a myriad of other long-standing bugs) and polishing existing equipment issues (StreakCats, I'm looking at you) were a higher priority than adding new, and fairly broken equipment (ECM).
I would pay for MW:O if that were the case.
I will not pay for MW:O until that is the case.
I'm voting for better developer policies with the only way I really have available: with my wallet. And, judging by the comments on the forum, I'm not the only one.
Just my opinion... and my money.

Some of us are here for gameplay. If you'll notice, previous Mechwarrior Games weren't exactly graphically enhanced, they focused on the gameplay.
A "pretty face' doesn't equal a fun game.
Y'all shoudl really work on optimizing the maps and bitmaps. I don't want my terrain to look so real that I can pick a pebble out of a mountainside at the cost of decent playability.
This game should be able to be played on lower-end PC's in the Dual-core range with at least an Nvidia Geforce 8600GT without lagging on the lowest settings.

1) Cosmetic items if they were cheap enough, meaning $1 or less. Current cosmetic items are WAAAAAAY overpriced. I want a doughnut or cheeseburger on my dashboard.
2) Loadout slots- So I can switch a mech's configuration with a single click. Maybe two clicks if it needs to confirm paying for upgrade switches.
3) The ability to graffiti messages into terrain using my mech's lasers.

3) Music. MechWarrior II had a bonkers-awesome soundtrack. I want another one, but with longer tracks. Give a bunch of stock tunes, and as the musicians make more, make us pay for them if we want to hear them in-game. It could be set to automatically lower the volume when in-game voice is being used, or TS3, or something.
Music. All about the music. I have played some console games such as S.L.A.I. Where you guy tracks (With ingame credits) and create rockin' playlists to listen to as you duke it out with other players. It adds an additional edge of freedom to choose how your gaming experience, and make it a lot more fun!

Also when the time eventually arrives, Clan tech should not be readily bought like any other item, It should be rewarded for special achievements or salvaging them from clan mechs.
That brings 2 more things to mind:
Salvage!
It would be pretty neat if you where able to salvage weapons, Armor scraps, and even ammo when winning a match.
Clan encounters!
Have exclusive IS VS Clan matches that are very difficult to beat, Like a random encounter, (but all Clan pilots are staff or good players.) and at the chance that the IS team overthrows the Clan team, they get a shot at salvaging some components and possibly additional reward components.
It does sound fairly out there, but it seems like it would be a lot of fun

Also, banners.
I'd absolutely love banners. Edit: Particularly in these days of identical looking mechs, I'd REALLY like to be able to have team banners for visual identification... but really any way to make *my* mech look different from all the others of the same style.
But, in all cases, it must be something you can buy and move from mech to mech, not that you have to buy anew for every mech. If I have to keep spending money, I want to keep getting new stuff, not maintaining stuff.

It's not pay for power. You still would have to unlock the basic pilot enhancements but instead of having to buy MC to purchase 2 additional mechs or grind it out to get enough c bills to buy the mechs you could simply pay MC to unlock the next level.
