i do wish there was a way we could display our pilot name and mech name on the mech somewhere.

i think the "Hello Kitty" needs some name recognition.

I would pay to enter Solaris VII. Solaris VII-style gladiator matches that I can fight in for sure (especially if it gave me access to a separate tier of mech bays-- maybe with some unique Solaris Mechs). I would also LOVE to wager C-Bills on pilots. It would be like a Premium membership but for people who like to bet on the ponies. Maybe a platinum membership (includes Premium PLUS Solaris).

As a bonus it would encourage players to grind out more matches to earn more C-bills to support their Solaris VII habit.

Oh and I agree with PK Violence. I would drop a $100 for a mechwarrior game, even if it is a straight port from one of the classics just with the new ideas of this version.


maybe not on your console, but absolutely little decals on the outside of your veteran mechs (like the tally on WWII fighters' noses)

Would love a "mission system". There are great jumping off points for developers in Objective Raids and Mercs Handbook. Also if we're talking things I would pay $ for: I would pay to refight classic battles from the scenario/source books. I would pay to download each battle (or campaign). And would pay twice as much if it could be single OR multiplayer scenarios

Things I would pay for with rough estimates of how much I would spend:

'Mech skins that are permanent and reusable - 750MC
Unlock a color for paint schemes permanently - 250MC
Unlock a Decal (Lore Unit, Written Taunts, Kill Count Marks, ect.) - 500MC
Barbed Wire or Xmas Light Skin Addition - 500MC

Hero Commando
Mercenary Pilot well known for scouting and light hunting. 'Mech features Jump Jets and ECM slot. Theme is small, scrappy animal such as Piranha, Hyena or Mongrel. 30% C-bill Boost.
2500MC

Hero Atlas
Thomas Hogarth
6000MC

first thing first. we need more than one mech released at a time. there needs to be a much larger selection of mechs out there so that when u get into a match there isnt 6 stalkers. or 5 as7-d-dc around. and maybe the option of having a full fledged merc corp. we need a place to have our friends and ppl together other than just the social page. lol. it needs to be something concrete. like 5000mc to start a merc corp or something like that. and more balistic weapons. like the lb-5x lb2-x ultra ac 2, 5, 10, ect.
and honestly. needs Quadrapetal mechs. like Cracken. and more 100 ton mechs. back to the diversity subject. and omnimechs need to make an apperance. as well as the ability to have missions or a galactic conquest where ure merc corp is given a planet that cant be taken. a home planet persay, and the ability to capture strategic planets that yeald diffrent resources to build mechs and weapons. ive been with u guys since beta and i would love to see this stuff

i don't disagree with you, but most of the things you are proposing would be massive time and money sinks. i imagine if we paid them a LOT more they would hire more programmers and 3d designers to do what you are asking.

tldr:this won't happen if you don't open up your wallet in a major way.

It may be a little tangential to the MWO project... but I think it could be huge. If Megamek (or another version of the tabletop clone) were added through MWO, I would be very interested. Im thinking MWO hosting matches, finding players, quick matches etc. If were added as a feature of the premium membership, I would stay premium year-round.

most likely, the team that would take care of that is seperate from any of the teams that would be involved in any of these suggestions.

for those who do not know: video game creation follows the same general format as car manufacturing. different parts are made by different people during different stages and then all of those parts are brought together and attached to the final product.

MWO in game graphics are better than the Mechwarrior 2 intro movie. So yeah. Now some co-op mission based levels against A.I., campaign, etc. would just be the crown jewel. One of the best online games way back was Novalogic's Joint Operations where you and your friends could go on missions together against the A.I. It was just the best multiplayer experience to be had.

I don't think it's been mentioned yet, but I'd pay for a sort of "retail" game version where it allows you to buy the MC stuff for the grindable currency, i'm not really a fan of the free to play limitations/microtransactions, but i'd be willing to pay a ~60$ one time fee to have the ability to use C-bills to buy everything MC.

I suppose that may have basically been the premise of the founders pack, but I wasn't paying attention and dropped the ball on that one.

First, love the game! Good work, I'll be in it for the long run. ;)

I've got lots of ideas, but this is about the premis that "they aren't going to sell anything that gives a player an advantage". They already do. You can buy credits, buy a mech, sell the mech and buy anything you want. "Real" cost of a great mech is about $35. No big deal.

No worries either. Anyone buying a great mech with cash will get chewed up and spit out by a Jenner with experience. I know, I'm the one being chewed up. Over and over. :D

Cash can put 6 PPCs on a mech but won't insure you're facing the right direction.

They could always create a few servers/battlefields where the "Bought" mechs could duke it out. Really, if anything, the game is biased in favor of guys with lots of free time to build skills. It might be fair to let someone use cash to better cope with the guys with zillions of hours.

Think in terms of "fast lane" servers where anything goes. More like the classes\levels they have for racing cars.

On a lighter note... I'd pay to have a wet bar in mine...

I'd pay alot for a decent headlight, or two! :D

As many have said, I'd pay for a single player campaign, or even just missions to do (a la the Mercenaries expansions).

Functional aesthetic pieces such as headlights would be nice.

I don't want to have to, but I would pay for Clan mechs if they were MC only (god forbid).

Hell, I'd pay for a training zone with dummy mechs to try out builds before throwing them on the battlefield without knowing what to expect (which is pretty high on my list of expectations for the game).

Hero Mech: Awesome. 2 Ballistic hardpoints, 3 Energy, 3 Missile.

Ballistics are so powerful and immune to DHS 1.4 in MWO, every mech should be able to carry at least one Ballistic for balance. Would need to be an "apocryphal" mech variant like the Muromets.
