I would pay ~$60 for a boxed hard copy of the game with a nice book/manual. The old kind of style box.

This would be great for first time players and include say $15 bucks of MC with a 15-day premium membership to be added into the box with some bling or something.

Me too. There should be another one with different mechs. More people purchase, more money for devs, more content for everyone.

Kind of a rip off to charge $60 for a free to play game with $25 worth of content. If anything it should include $60 worth of MC, 1 month of premium, and maybe an unlock for a mech or 2. I would be pissed if I spent $60 and found out the game was free to play and I couldve just spent the $60 on straight MC .

Can this be un-stickied yet? Do you have enough ideas?

why would we want that?

players will always come up with new ideas. we should give them as many ideas as possible so they do not have to work as hard to add content. and these ideas are here solely for making money to keep the game afloat.

they plan to do a real time campaign within the mechwarrior universe. <-this will take a very large and constant flow of money to keep afloat.

i hope this thread never dies and they keep getting useful information from it. keep this game fun and up to date for as long as reasonably possible. i at least want to make it 10 years to the mechanical jump assist equipment.

I would pay for a full featured, actively supported online game. I would also pay for a MAC version. The free-to-play model works best with simple, casual games. A game like mechwarrior has a large enough fan base to support a full pay for game. If the idea is to continually fund the servers, make the game free to download and $10 a month for access to all features. I don't like getting nickled and dimed for games and won't be buying anything with mc while I'm playing this game.

What would I pay for? Hmm..

Music soundtrack, and/or control of ipod/pandora/shoutcast radio/etc..
Custom paint jobs
Player Bounty
Mech / Item player trades & sales
Pilot name change
MC to Cbills
Accidental sale/buy back
Ladder matches / Competition with In-game Rewards
Bottle of Scotch or Whiskey Flask on my dash
Custom Bitching Betty voices.

Tacky funny mech stuff that other folks can see. like Bumper Stickers.. Kill stamps (from bounties, tourneys)..

I could go on and on.

I would pay for a mech..... but not at your prices. I find it hard to stomach the idea of paying more than 5 dollars for a single mech. The pricing on mechs should be such that if you paid for all of them you could get them for something around 50-60 bucks (the price of a complete game). Until the price drops I'll never.
I would pay for a permanent cbill or exp boost, or both would be even better.

I'd pay for Living Legends to come back, but...

On a more serious (Or rather, actually possible) note:

I'd pay for camoflague on my mechs as well as other things that are already in-game if we'd just get the features we were promised nearly a year ago, as well as fixes that should have been done months ago (and have existed since closed beta - before I was even playing this game). Anyone else remember dropship mode? And how about that netcode fix we've been so desperately needing since forever?

If I had the money I'd have gotten the legendary founder pack, but I didn't... I can honestly say I am not disappointed with missing that opportunity after having played the game since (I think) November. If anything, I'd be disappointed that I did buy it.

so you won't pay them because they aren't forcing you to pay?

$10 a month is a lot worse. unless you are buying stuff constantly the $120 dollars within a year will never be matched by what they make with bobble heads and paint jobs.

maybe not all of them for $50 because there are going to be a crapload of mechs but i agree that most mechs should cost less than $5.

I just heard about this game and started playing. I would love for the opportunity to invest in something similar to the previous Founders packs before it leaves open beta.

How about paying to "unlock" everything. Like you pay $20 and you can buy mech bays, paint jobs, etc with cbills. I would buy that and it would entice me to get premium so I could earn enough cbills!

I would totally play for a second wave of the Founder's Program, since i'm steadily getting more financially stable and might be able to afford it soon. If they did one with a theme based around different 'mechs with slightly different appearances like the last one, that would be awesome. I'd prefer one with the Commando, Centurion, Cataphract, and Awesome

Sounds good to me, I'd probably get an Awesome or a Cataphract.

i like the idea but you know there are going to be some founders who complain endlessly because now the founders tag "is worth less" or "isn't special anymore".

but of course that will likely happen with any sort of major change.

How much would it cost me to drive a Thunderbolt adorned with the AC/DC logo blaring "Thunderstruck" with a pair of fuzzy dice hanging off the rear-view screen?

I'd go for this too. :D

I want a jelly dounut with a bite taken outa it, I want a slice of pizza on a paper plate, I want a beer stein(er), and I want a pine tree freshener. I want a mech that looks lived in not a hula girl.

PS How about a big run dmc gold chain necklace of my name?
