Uh huh. Need a soap box? A game doesn't have to become WoW to succeed. Certainly any Studio would LOVE it to, but, little children, many games have survived on a smaller, but fanatically dedicated fanbase.

In addition to the unit decals, I think people would pay money for other icons and designs. Perhaps a band around an arm or leg with a tartan pattern? A racecar-style number? Flames? Maybe a slogan? The possibilities are endless and would really serve to make for some really cool variations, particularly if you could color them.

There's a reason why EA was voted the worst company in the US, and that's because their business model is to nickel and dime their customers to death. Have you seen Simcity 3 and its in-game advertising? It completely detracts from their core game not to mention the core game is just as unfinished as this game is.

I'm not sure what is worst, this crowd-sourced/funded game that is following the EA business model, or that I'm one of the idiots that has spent money on these microtransactions to get a mech and then realize this game is actually truly still beta, unfinished, and unbalanced. Take away this poptart, 1-2 alphastrike/instagib sniping game and actually bring it in-line with the original mechwarrior games. There's no role for brawlers and scouts in this game even with ecm since missiles are ineffective. Bugs galore, no UI, no maps, these are core game engine issues that still haven't been resolved and continue to exist despite every patch.

I would pay for a working, balanced, and supported game. That's pretty specific. At this point, its a paid beta(how is that different than a paid game?), unbalanced, and a filtered/unsupported game as illustrated through the draconic forum controls by removing a general discussion.

Prosperity Park - Would the Game Staff be willing to consider an option for players to "Heroize" their favorite non-Hero Mechs, in such a way that Users could pay #MC to permanently increase the End Mission c-bill payout by some value between 5 ->15% for that particular variant?
A: Interesting idea, anything is possible.

Here is my Official Suggestion. I would very much like a way to boost the C-Bill output of my favorite Mechs, in a way similar to the Hero Mechs.

I have a set of Founders Mechs that get a 25% C-bill boost, and Hero Mechs are available that give a 30% C-bill boost, but that creates a situation where I feel somewhat discouraged from using my other Mechs whenever I'm trying to save up some C-Bills for my next purchase. Yes, I can use Premium Time to increase my earnings, but I then still feel obligated to use my Hero/Founders Mechs in order to take full advantage of the increased earnings.

I'm suggesting that we be given an option to throw MC at the regular Mechs to anoint them with a permanent C-Bill boost, like a Hero Mech, just not as much of a boost because it's not an actual Hero.

Since "Hero Mechs" are supposed to be infamously powerful forces to be reckoned-with, I believe that any kind of upgrades to your non-Hero Mechs should only be possible after "Mastering" and unlocking the additional Module Slot for the variant in question. That prerequisite would make sure that only seasoned warriors are passing themselves off as genuine hot shots who deserve a bigger paycheck ;-) Basically, I think once the additional Module Slot is unlocked, the user may be presented with a menu option to Upgrade their Mech for (let's arbitrarily say) 1,000 MC and receive a permanent 10% C-bill increase for each match played... or something like that.

Think of it as not just Mastering your Mech; You're Bounty Mastering it! There ya go... you Master your Mech with XP, then you use MC and bribe some folks to upgrade your Mech to Bounty Master and increase your c-Bill earnings.

-The Proposed Idea is to grant a smaller C-Bill Boost than a Hero Mech because the regular Mechs are really just that... Regular. Providing a way to give them a huge C-Bill Boost would not only detract from the Values of genuine Hero Mechs, but it would make this idea too expensive (I anticipate Paying Players will want to "Heroize" any/every Mech they wind-up Mastering and unlocking the Module Slot on because you only unlock those 21,500 point Slots on Mechs that you intend on using heavily)

-I would not, at this time, involve the movement of Hardpoints with this idea because I am presenting a non-combat-related performance boost... in this case, it performs better at raking in C-Bills. Once you begin to allow customization of hardpoints, you get into a situation where every single variant has to be combed-over by the Devs to make lists of allowed/disallowed hardpoint configurations based on how they affect combat performance... which would require tons of testing... that would have to be part of a different Suggestion Thread.

-I am suggesting that this cost MC and not be available with C-Bills because it's an End-Game feature that would reward people for continuing to spend more money on the game after they have already spent a significant amount of time and resources into the Leveling of that Mech. It would give Paying Players an option to make their Mastery Experience more worthwhile and improve the productivity of their Favorite Mechs. This is similar to the idea of paid Premium Time; you can't buy C-Bill boosts with C-Bills.

-Since this is Paid-Content, it might be cool if "Bounty Mastering" your Mech came with some kind of blingbling cockpit item such as a money clip, or hanging Gold Chains... ;)

PP - like the idea ... as an alternative, a MC purchasable upgrade that automatically converts all mech XP earned to GXP (maybe at a reduced rate) or C-Bills after unlocking the Master slot.

I'll throw my hat into the idea of PvE.
- Single Player content
- Episode structured story missions that can be played though co-op

Better MC prices on mechs/paints
I'd love to buy paints, camos and Heros but the prices are rather absurd. Better value to just keep doing 1 Day premium + 3 mech bays for 6.50 rather then 1 single use 1 chassis pattern and 1/2 premium color for instance.

I'd pay real money to be able to bypass the "grind 3 variants before you can access elite skills on the one you actually like" mechanic. Call it Advanced Training or Robot Tutoring or something.

I'd like to avoid this.
Any stat bonuses should be earned not bought

Things I might pay for, depending on my expendable cash levels....

1) Different visual effects - ppc shoots blue rings, etc
2) Different sound effects - ppc roars when it fires, etc
3) For a low premium account level/subscription fee - First opportunity to "Beta" new game modes
4) More gewgaws for the cockpit
5) Decals - Limited Edition (buy this month only)
6) Private clans - no additional benefits for being in a clan though beyond a decal and clan designation

I would love to put more money into this game through MC purchases and then purchase the game when it is finally released. But there are still so many problems and bugs. Some eventually get fixed, but then more surface or are created. I am now CTD on a regular basis, which has never happened before. In the past I would have a freezing problem, that seems to have been solved. They have a very, very long way to go before this little puppy is ready for final release. I'm not going to put anymore cash into this unless things improve substantially.

Ok.... You want to know what I'd pay for?
Seriously?
How about some bug fixes? Yea.
I'm NOT kidding. I am being 100% honest..
I am so sick of how buggy this game is, that I would PAY FOR BUG FIXES... Bill me...

I would like to ask the Community to please use this thread more seriously. The reason we have these kinds of threads is so the Developers and Staff can get some serious ideas about what we want in terms of cash-items in the game.

This is not a good place to ask them to "Fix The Game" because it dilutes the value of this thread. Posting that kind of stuff reduces the quality of feedback that the game's Developers receive, and that kind of defeats the purpose of you telling them how to improve the game, doesn't it? We have feedback and Suggestion threads like this because they want to hear what we have to say, and if you'd like to comment on the game's problems then please give feedback... but in the right thread. There's an entire section where you can give them patch-specific feedback about bugs and glitches, and there are many other places to share your thoughts.

In this thread, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share your thoughts about MC-priced things that can be purchased in-game, like cockpit items, camos, silly riffraff, or other in-game things. Please don't ask them to fix bugs or bring back the General Discussion in this thread... do so it in the Bug Threads and in the Suggestions section of the forum (see the Pinned topics, specifically :-).

Thaaaaannnks :P

I would pay for colored beams for my lasers, within my own client only. I would love to stroll out in my ctf-1x and let loose with blue-colored medium lasers. Other clients would see them as green, of course, to avoid abusing it to confuse others.

I would pay (at, say, 50MC/ton) to apply a "hero bonus" to my mech, complete with a custom skin (subject to approval by PGI, of course), custom designator (i.e. my CTF becoming the CTF-JVN rather than a plain old CTF-1X), and, say, a 5% bonus to C-Bill and Exp earnings.
