This might be a way to monetize keeping the current mechs relevant when Clan Tech hits. That way, PGI won't have to nerf Clan mechs.

I expect not to be charged for mine, in exchange for my amazing idea.

As is now, anyone, myself included ~ are hardpressed to justify the cost of a camo and paintjob, I have stuck with the first two colors I bought with cbills because 75mc for a single use or 750mc to unlock for one mech is kind of ridiculous and I will always go back to my trusted business principle of the cheaper = the more sales = the more money | the higher = less sales = less money in the long term (seems like more in the short term but doesn't accumulate due to lack of sales).
Make the MC related things cheaper, even MC itself, and more people will buy it and in the end it Will equal not only more sales but more revenue and even profit, trust me it is a tried and true age old business practice that only fails when implemented incorrectly!
If I could afford to buy a red and black color and maybe a camo (I only have 444mc at the moment and am waiting for a sale to Maybe buy more depending on the outcome of these patches) I'd do a wolf's dragoon paintjob for my mechs but I just can't justify the costs at the moment (or even afford it because of how expensive it is and how little mc I have at the moment.).
The sale on mountain line is cool but it really honestly isn't enough, we need a sale on all paints and camos ~ just try it and see how many sales you get vs this most recent sale (cause if you do I will even buy some paints/camo).
So far all I have seen are categories on sale, greens, oranges, etc and when they were on sale I didn't want those colors (even though I love green).
Timing and absolute value (bang for the buck as they say) is key.
Trying to outfit all of my mechs with the same paintjob would be ridiculously expensive if the 750mc camo unlock only applies to a single mech. Anyone care to do the math on that one?

Premium time for around $10.00 a month, if purchased in a 3 month block, slightly more for month to month subscriptions.
You could even throw in a small amount of MC per month on longer subs (6 month and yearly).

Rental "Insurance" -or- a Mech Lease
Sort of like renting a car, you rent/lease a "NEW" MECH.
The idea is that when a "NEW" Mech comes out, do you want to try it out., now the trial mechs are ok, but most people don't like the hard points/Armor or other...
But if you could get a new mech (for say a day/week) which you could then "trial" being able to configure as needed.
- They get a base "empty" Chasis (with appropriate hard points for that mech model)
- User has to pay for any and all upgrades
- User has to pay for all equipment/weapons mounted
- Chasis does not Earn XP (but does earn GXP).
You could either have it Per Mech or a rolling subscription(monthly) that users can just keep trying out different mechs. The Per Mech would be good for Hero Mechs/new Mechs, while the rolling subscriptions would be better for newer players (not really sure which to buy next).
At the end of the lease all equipment that has been equiped would be dumped back into the players inventory and maybe 50% of modifications of the mech (structure/heat sink upgrades) would be sold off and they player gets some of that back.

I don't need to customize its appearance; that would be a tremendous undertaking to implement. But make a light, medium, heavy and assault chassis that we can customize the stats on.
It would be a point-buy system of some kind. Let me decide the maximum speed, maximum armor, place the hardpoints, etc.
Now, any time you give players control, you create the potential for clever players to come up with something more powerful than you thought of, of course. The point buy could even limit us to something a little bit weaker than a stock mech, if need be. That's also why it needs to be done now, in beta, or you'll have to do a lot more internal testing later on.

Also, Will there be another opportunity to become a founder or has that boat already sailed?

These would not require any GXP to unlock or have to be purchased with C-Bills; they would be already unlocked in the pilot tree and require MC to purchase from the Mechlab. They would have to be equipped in a Module Slot to have an effect. This would be a way for us to make use of empty Module slots when we don't have enough actual Modules, or just for kicks when we want to. Some suggestions could include:
- Mech ID Module - Allows users to see the name that an enemy pilot has given to their Mech after getting a target lock and gathering the enemy's Mech Info.
- Paintball Module - causes all weapons fire to leave paint splotches behind instead of/in addition to the visual battle scarring effects.
- Explosion Module - Make all explosions appear visually magnified 3X, add massive fireballs to component destructions (but cause no change in actual damage/splash radius)
- With-a-Bang Module - Causes your own Mech to explode catastrophically into massive a conflagration upon death for the whole world to behold (without causing any damage to nearby Mechs, of course)

i would like this to be a standard feature or have the ability to add name decals, because i work hard to come up with interesting names for my mechs.
hello kitty: catapult C4 with 4x SRM6 (pretty self explanatory)
the drizzle: hunchback 4SP with 2x LRM20 (he rains the bad guys out)
johnny cash: jenner with flamers (down, down, down, in the ring of fire)
sir mix alot: jenner with an ERPPC (he likes big butts)

I would like to see more variety in the cockpit items available. Not necessarily novelty items like bobble-heads and fuzzy-dice (although more stuff like that would be awesome too), but combat related things. Like maybe a handgun in a holster mounted to a console, or a cigar in an ash tray that is still slightly smoking.
Pilot customization: Yes I know you never see your pilot aside from their arms and feet, but I want those arms and feet to be mine. Custom, personal. We could even use the custom pilot images for forum pictures.
Finally, I want the damn decal system! lol
I would be willing to pay for any/all of these, but feel free to offer them for free

1.More custom cammo patterns. -That would help make the Mechs more distinguishable. Also a great way for people to customize their machines.
2. Text on the Mechs - Create the option for people to be able to write stuff on their machines. For example , just under the AC/20 of the Hunchback 4G - "When you see this Smile" - or something else. Just create a large variety of text from which the Mechwarriors can chose and also to chose where to put them.
3. Disco Ball - Sure every one wants a disco ball in their cockpit.
4. Animated Pilot - The option that your pilot will be able to be more animated just like the beginning of the match. When in battle to push buttons, check switches put out blinking lights when under fire and so on.
5. Mech Radio - I know that every one can just switch his Winamp and listen to whatever he likes, but it will be cool to have and in game radio doing some rock and roll sounds while fighting.
6. Lights - you can say that it is useless as you have Night Vision and Heat Vision but it would be great to be able to turn on and off lights when doing night maps. That could be also used to your advantage to blind Night Vision Mech warriors from close range buying you a few seconds, but also giving up your position.
If I come up with something more will mention it, but so far this is what I had in mind. Cheers
