They could do tabletop models using Alex's designs. That would be freaking awesome.

And, of course, they should totally do shirts, one for each mech design. They could also make patches of each of the factions, something you could sow on a coat, for example.

Here is an ambition product idea..
The MWO Neurohelmet!.. A gaming helmet with built in headphones and a mic, plus a seperate sticker sheet of the players chosen faction. The sheet could have kill markers, the emblem of their house/clan/merc unit, medal emblems (for that faction) stripes, slogans etc. Retail them for $100 or so, and I'm pretty certain that the store wont have stock hanging around!

And then.. here's a cool idea that uses the helmet..

After the game has been released and has gathered steam, a add-on to the game could be a skype style player cam.. So during play, the player can open a window to a team mate where they can see their face (with use of a web cam obviously) to add more depth to the player experience. To take the experience further, the player could hang some green fabric behind their head, where a cockpit image is superimposed and you have (almost) full player simulated immersion. RPG experience point bonus???

On a side note, does anybody recall VR glasses/helmet support for MW2?

one of those round foot pedal lid raise ones, step on like the urbies right foot, the dome lifts!

kind of like the old r2d2 ones but with an urbie, and its even humerous since haters call it the trashcan, right up until it sneaks up on them with jump jets to ac 20 them in the back.

To be honest, I'd imagine an app would work. Terrible thought there, but... Imagine this:
You're sitting at work, you played hard last night trying to achieve something on a planet... You want to be able to keep tabs on what those nasty beggars are doing while you're slaving at work. Saves the dissapointment when you get home?
Financially, initial development costs then profit.

Damned Assassins have all the fun. I dunno, apps are popular in regular MMOs.. Get on Guild (in this case Company/Unit) chat. Or see a planet in danger, race home to defend it..

That being said, an Urban Mech stein could hold a lot of use while one is engaged in combat...

I would assume that making a F2P game would mean money isn't going to stream in right away like a full priced title. Especially since you cannot even pre-order. An online store would at least start some of that revenue coming in to pay for their MWO water bottles

Numero Uno - Correct the thread topic please.

- Getting a license from MS to publish a MW online game may not be applicable to physical merch...better check.
- Rebrand a Zazzle.com shop if need be, we want T-shirts and assorted MW:O crap (mugs, trashcans, art books, etc...)!
- start with 1 item (T-shirts probably make the most sense), then see the ROI, add more if needed (just a thought, the Zazzle type stores can pump pics onto just about any object).
- FD should get a % for physical merch sold (just sayin'!)
- Get the MW:Tac peeps involved as well, split the cost of the 'store'...

Wait, why am I suggesting ways for you to get me to spend more money on this game?
