FOR MWO AS IT IS: I'd probably buy 3 additional mechbays.
FOR SOMETHING ELSE: I'd buy a single-player campaign/s.
Look, BattleTech has had several writers who has written several novels about this universe. And novels has been a staple of the BattleTech franchise since what, the 1980's? Its just like Warhammer40k when it comes to products except that I am yet to see actual physical Warhammer40K trading cards.
A single player campaign, or chapters, or episodes released seasonally featuring a great story with great plot and utilizing the game's engine; that's something I'd buy. Ever experienced watching a TV show and you can't wait for the next episode? Yeah, something like that.
Its just an idea though because making a "book" out of a videogame is way more complicated than just writing a book. And writing a book in the scale of novels is complicated enough already.
And also, they have to price it right. The price should be low enough for most people in different regions across the globe to afford, but the story must be gripping as well, and not written badly of "cliche-ly" if you know what I mean.
Download MWO, and from there players can buy the "episodes" or "books," "novels" or whatever you want to call it wherein the player doesn't just read the story, s/he must be in the story. "Linear" story or "different ending based on player choices" story, whatever.
This game alone has the potential to even revive the waning PC joystick industry.
