You can clearly see the mindset and job isnt suitable for your interest in the games life span on release day.

heres a example. Do you know how much money is given to cancer cures? BILLIONS! and still no real cure. Beta testing is a JOB. contributing money to a game just becuase you like it is ENTIRELY DIFFERENT. thats called donating. buying a beta key and not testing it is a person who isnt caring about the game but themselves.

Well...then I guess wait till open beta. It's completely random if invites are even still being sent. The only garuntee to getting into the closed beta is buying a founder's pack, which you're obviously unwilling to do. The founder's packs are more than just getting into closed beta, too, so there is more reason to get them than just getting into an unfinished product and testing it.

Begging for a beta key isn't going to get you one, so might as well sit back, relax, and see if invites are still going out. Buying to get into a closed beta being stupid in your opinion is another topic altogether. And begging is exactly what you're doing here, and wanting to get paid for it too, whether they're "valid" reasons or not. They're not going to pay you to test it when they have a perfectly willing community HERE that is WILLING TO TEST IT FOR FREE or buying a founders pack to support the ongoing process of creating the game. As mentioned in the Founder's Packs' descriptions, the bonuses are purely monetary in nature for the game, not exactly pay to win. (As in one free mech and a c-bill and XP bonuses, along with the minor thing of getting your name in the credits.)

Why are people paying to test the beta or testing it for free? Because they love the universe this game is based off of/ set in.

Now, saying casuals can't give good feedback is also arrogant of you. And look around. What little kids do you see here? The youngest I've seen is 14 or 15. I myself am 22. And we're the YOUNGEST people here. Most others are mid twenties or older. This game isn't for little kids...and you're generalizing casuals as being little kids, and that is just not true. If you want to work at PGI, go to Montreal or whereever they are stationed and submit an application. Testing a beta and enjoying it while still giving relevant feedback is just as good as "working/testing it", not enjoying it, and giving relevant feedback. So you don't need to be a so called "pro beta tester" to be useful to the dev team if you're in the beta. Long as you're giving relevant feedback that is actually good, it's good. And excuse those beta testers taking a break from testing.

DrHat or other moderator, just lock the thread. I honestly don't think the rules of conduct here is gonna matter a whole lot. Though hopefully what you said about PGI and/or IGP gives them out at their discretion will get it through Psychostoner's head that just because you ask for one and gives your "credentials" doesn't mean you'll get one.
