Why I chose to join BWC:

I was tired of childish outfits where behavior was uncontrolled and discipline was a foreign concept. I wanted to play alongside good leaders and disciplined members. But BWC is more than just a military style outfit - we work together, play together and dream up new ways to be the best at what we do. Our members have many talents, and use them to make videos, podcasts, artwork and more. The rewards system you see on our "jackets" is just as interesting and motivating as the in-game accomplishment system and is a feat I was very impressed by upon joining BWC. I joined because this outfit has the class and organization to be the best, while respecting our foes. It has not disappointed.

Why I chose to join BWC.

BWC represents a familiar environment for anyone who has served. The echoing of Military structures and cultural mores, the robust meta-game that hard target locks recognition and training, the attention to detail, all combine to create a community that shares more than a love of gaming, but also embraces a shared context that connects us all. It's a family in the truest sense of the word, with core values that matter in game and out.

One Team, One Fight.

It's not what we say, it's what we do.

It's a funny thing when someone asks you why you did something. Looking back you can make all sorts of judgments, assumptions, and justifications you want. But as I look back at it now I don't know what really pushed me to join. I liked the fact that it was veteran owned and operated, I liked the fact that they looked like serious players, and I liked the fact they played other games. But if any of these things where what drove me to join, I don't know. All I that I can tell you is that when I had finished reading up on them, and taking a look at what others had said about them, and what they were showing the general public I knew that that I would be a fool to not at least try to get into this organization.

So after registration, I thought it rather thoughtful of these people to actually welcome me in by showering me with short messages. Especially one cheeky ******* that not-even-slightly begged forgiveness on killing my beloved Catapult. From then on, I got his back. Right in my crosshairs. But now that we're teammates, he has nothing to worry about. I was very much impressed by the amount of useful info to be found on the member boards, and actual contacts that made clear I could count on them for questions. First trainings threatened to be a burden, but turned out to really up my game. And I was so relieved to see that they were not pushing me to any minimum score. If real life needs me, BWC gives me no hardship whatsoever. Perfect for me: sometimes running 20 drops a night for a week, sometimes offline for a month.

First impressions within the first month of starting with BWC.

So my first impressions were that I am amazed at the amount of teamwork there is within BWC, not just in games, but just in the general of being extremely good people. They help one another and talk to you like a person, no shouting and complaining. They value your opinion just as much as the guy who has been here 10 years.

On joining BWC I was warmly greeted by a host of enthusiastic and helpful people who made me feel welcome despite my less than perfect FPS skills.

First impressions within the first month of starting with BWC:

I expected good communications and teamwork. I expected people to be on when I was on. What I didn't expect, that shocked me, was the in-house operations! BWC has enough membership where we can play ops within our own membership that have specific rules, specific restrictions, and specific scenarios that you couldn't begin to do by trying to coordinate with other players! This really opened up my game for me, and increased my fun level to huge amounts. I also learned that there is a large organization structure run by a lot of volunteers who want to give back. An team as large as BWC doesn't run without the help of its members stepping up to fill key roles in a variety of ways. These were both pleasant surprises, but now I can't see how I could play without them.

First impressions withing the first month of starting whti BWC:
that's cool. that's cool as well. that were my first impressions ! Everybody was incredibly friendly, helpful and everything ran smooth.
The Military Style made fighting great, we won nearly every battle even if we only were a few against a lot of enemys.
I was really fascinated by the organization in our Star Citizen fleet! It was incredible. Everything was so incredibly well planned and everything seemed perfect.
After the first few days I knew that I as right here.

First impressions within the first month of starting with BWC

Must admit that I was a little scared the first few days, so many new people, rules, Chain of Command, was not used to such from small clans / guilds.
When I got training and understanding after a few days, it was just absolutely brilliant, there's always someone to game with, everything works just great, and I'm proud to be part of the BWC.

One Team, One Fight.

First impressions within the first month of starting with BWC.
I was simply impressed. Following a few training sessions and drops with BWC members, my eyes opened as to how important good communications are. Information is everything. Good communications and good Comms Discipline ensure that the most relevant information is communicated, which allows better tactical position, better planning and better execution.

Not having a military background myself, I found myself raving to my wife about the effectiveness of BWC’s comms protocol more than raving about any ingame victories. Having a group work effectively together with minimal yet most relevant communication is, indeed, a beautiful thing and the primary reason I started to look for a good team to play with in the first place!

My first impression was the wow-factor of how huge this organization actually is! The numbers, which most definitely i'm not at liberty to say! Huge amount of effort, personal free time freely given to help run it by all of it's dedicated members! It still impresses me too this day!

First impressions within the first month of starting with BWC:
"Wow, this is huge. Tons of different people playing together in proffessional way. Lot's of inhouse operations (Events) to meet new people easily. Now I know why they are around for 10 years!"

I decided to run with the BWC after witnessing first hand how a greatly organized group can make a huge difference in any game that they played. I first saw them in action in Planetside 2 where their coordination and effort was rewarded time and time again with victory. I knew that if they could be this successful with such a large scale conflict, that they must be just as successful with every other thing that they do.

I went to their website and was impressed by what I saw; a thriving community that listened to its member base and that utilized tried and proven methods to accomplish their goals. I was hooked within moments.

That same community exists now as it did then.

For the first month that I was in the BWC there was a lot of activity. Planetside 2 Beta had just ended and I got to spend a week or so waiting for the game to launch. In that time I joined every training that I could.

I was astounded by the quality of training, the professionalism, and the drive to succeed that the community had. By the time that Planetside 2 finally launched, I was very familiar with the gameplay and the way that the BWC operated.

The first month was a blast and convinced me that I made the right choice of not just a gaming community, but a real community that I could be a part of and share my life with.

Best decision that I have made in gaming.

When I first joined BWC I was overwhelmed by the amount of things going on. Paintball teams, meet n greets, and just the sheer number of games the community is involved in is incredible! There is a ton of information and personal opinions on games old and new, subject matter experts for a multitude of topics, an artist’s haven, help and critiques for budding writers, and so much more! It took me a week or two to take it all in and really find my niche but it has been well worth the ride. The members and command are amazing! But don’t take my word for it... Join today!

Because I am a military guy and joined BWC in large part because of their military bent, it was natural for me to compare them to units I have been in as I played with them for the first few weeks. They definitely come out at the high end of the grading scale, with far fewer pains in the *** and a much higher percentage of experienced leaders, creative minds, and hard-charging guys looking to make a name through hard work and a team-first attitude. The thing that amazed me the most is how ready everybody is to teach you every trick and tactic they know. Nobody is afraid of giving away their trade secret in fear that they might slide down the leader board. They really live the "One Team, One Fight" motto, and it's not just lip service.

First impressions within the first month of starting with BWC.

Wow - First impressions :) Well I joined just before a C&S stand down so my onboarding lasted 3 weeks, 1 more than normal. My first week I jumped on numerous games and every time I got on TS3 there was someone there to welcome a new player. Once in game it became obvious that these guys really enjoyed playing in a team and were very encouraging to new members. After a while I realized the size of BWC and the scope of the organisation and C&S groups. Training, strong leadership, multiple games, support structure, merit based promotions - check them all, and a lot more !!

First impressions within the first month of starting with BWC.

BWC implements a fairly strict recruiting process. Without going into any detail, if you pass the recruiting process and make it to the rank of Private, it means you are a dedicated, mature gamer. BWC doesn’t care about your kill ratio, headshot count, etc. They care about whether you are mature enough to stay focused on the tasks which are necessary to win, and support fellow members. They care about whether you are the type of person who will be there to backup other members when things get rough, or get those few extra headshots in to increase your own score. The recruitment process is a test in and of itself. A little time and a show of dedication will grant you access to all the resources and advantages of being part of the BWC family.

During my recruit phase (not yet officially part of BWC), I was welcomed with open arms. I distinctly remember (and will never forget) a veteran BWC member’s generosity and patience with me. It was my first time logging into Mech Warrior Online, ever. The Op leader (K8) was running the orientation for a group of us new recruits. The orientation consisted of introducing us to the command structure, ranking structure, in-game communication etiquette, and basic tactics. While the op leader executed all these tasks like a pro, he took me to the side and gave me a personal introduction to MWO and it’s mechanics. From his teachings, I gained enough knowledge to catapult myself forward into the MWO world, and become a successful Mechwarrior.

So a veteran of BWC took time to personally attend to a complete stranger, all while running a training operation on a strict schedule. This is what it means to be a part of BWC. It’s not “One team, but sometimes I’ll help you out if I feel like it, but not now because I’m in the middle of running this recruit introduction.” K8’s generosity is just one of the many examples of selflessness I’ve experienced among the ranks of BWC.

First impressions within the first month of starting with BWC.

Even though i wanted to be part of a military style guild/player association i was i bit intimidated with all the rules , and procedures of the application process. Only after i had gone through all the requirement i was amazed on how effective and thought out the whole process is to the point of automation. The guild works like a well tuned clock, where at at any point in time every one is well informed about every one and everything. The situational awareness in BWC well beyond any guild i have ever seen.

My first month on BWC was a blast, I was on vacation and I participated in multiple operations and trainings. After I passed through the probationary period as a recruit I volunteered to help on the recruitment. And even today after some months I still get enjoyment of when I just joined BWC. :)
