I initially joined them for PS2 and found that they they were also involved with MWO. I've been a mech fan since the super nintendo release and knew that this group combination would be unparalleled.
I've had several drops with the BWC and I can tell you that they are top notch players that are always adapting to new game mechanics, enemy strategies, and ways to win.
I have had a blast with each and every drop with the BWC.

I realized at some point that online games don't give you the real deal right out of the box. They may be good games with new graphics, innovative features, or just an amazing concept that makes you think "This is the game that I've always wanted", but they aren't necessarily fun games; What makes them fun is a community to play and enjoy the game with. That community is the content that may breathe a new life into the game by extending it way beyond what you might have already become bored with, making what you might have not enjoyed at all into an honest pleasure, or simply letting you play the game how it was meant to be played: together with your friends.

I got hunched.... again... and again, and again... I had no one to watch my back or flanks... I knew it was stupid to play alone, in the table top game a lance needed to coordinate to succeed... but i had no one to coordinate with. so I started looking around for people to play with because I cannot lone wolf it in this game to save my life, and in addition to my experiences with gaming as a whole. Unless there was a profound story line to the game I was playing, I would walk away feeling like I hadn't accomplished anything or learned anything. That's when I started to realize that teamwork, trust, and friendships are all very real things that I can build while playing games with other people.
I started to look for people who were serious about gaming, but that I could have fun with at the same time, people who played the right way, not by exploitation or metagaming. That is when I found BWC. Now when I have time off to play games I get excited about the prospect of sitting down and gaming with a group that can help me to be my best, a group that not only plays the games but also gives back to the community. Even my wife is excited to see me this happy about playing with a company and has been encouraging me to play with them MORE than I do.
It's living the dream.

My reason was rather simple actually. I understood that this game was going to be focused on team coordination and effort and felt that if I were to play solo it wouldn't be as fun as I would not know who I was playing with or their load outs. So I figured the worse thing I do is start looking as I would either find a group I like and be better off or I would just go back to what it was, dropping solo.

We live that in BWC. We train together, play together, laugh and cry together. If you've ever been a part of something that tight-knit, you know that feeling. That sense of community, but more, pushing right into family. Find that again in BWC.

I tend to play most games solo, including MMO's simply because most games don't need or encourage true teamwork. For the most part this has worked out fine for me. However, this game definitely encourages team gameplay and BWC is all about teamwork. It is a completely different feeling between just going solo and rolling with a team. You feel like you are a part of something bigger, which you are with BWC.

I play multiplayer because people are different from AI(usually). They surprise you, they can use tactics, and every person is different, nothing like AI. However, they can also work together and when you work together, you exponentially increase each others skill. I was a lone wolf, I'd always play a game alone or with a guild that I joined in name only, so I could play mostly by myself, but every time I saw a disciplined group of players, be it Planetside, Warhammer Online, MWO or SWTOR, something stirred in me. Nothing could stand against them, and when the met a similarly skilled group of players, it was always amazing to watch.
Eventually I got the nerve to join Black Widow Company. I was missing out on so much over the years, being a lone wolf in all of those games. I could never stand up to other groups of players, I always had a hard time finding help if I needed it, but no longer. I'm finally part of a team and I'm never looking back.

I have very particular tastes. I’m very competitive and like playing with people who truly practice their game and craft

In MWO it’s a huge boon to have a specialization and have a depth of knowledge of your group mates play style and what role/mech you need to bring. Reacting to the randomness of solo queuing can be a fun experience, but the level of competition is elevated exponentially as teamplay gets involved, so I went looking for the right team.

When I first started playing MWO nine months ago, I enjoyed duo queueing with one my friends, as we both grew up playing the Mechwarrior series. Unfortunately, I had since moved overseas and I could not play much with my friend anymore due to time zone conflicts. Thus I started looking for a group of skilled mech pilots that I could regularly play with, and I just happened to find BWC. I am so glad that I did, as BWC is the most organized and disciplined outfit I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of. Fast forward to today, and I still play with the EU lances in BWC, and let me tell you, we have a blast in 4 man groups. Thank you BWC, and if you are a new player to MWO, please check us out at: http://the-bwc.com/
You won't regret it!

Well, many years ago, when I was still but high school student, I was very much into gaming (though I still am). I was often the type to simply play the lone wolf and just run around shooting things. Well, back when Battlefield 2 was being released, I figured I may try to join a more organized group, as going solo all the time can be fun, but it lacked a certain something that I couldn't quite pin down. I saw a recruiting post from a BWC member, and thought that it sounded like a really awesome group. Well, needless to say I was correct, seeing as I'm still here 7 years later.

I have loved Battletech since the tabletop game grabbed my attention in the early '80s. When this game was announced I knew I was going to jump in right away. I bought a founder's pack and checked my inbox everyday for the beta key. When it finally arrived I jumped into the game with glee. I noticed some clans had already formed and would announce themselves in chat. Just about every time this occurred the pug group I was with would just get absolutely stomped. I knew that if I wanted to start winning more I had join a group and get the advantage that communication and teamwork would provide.

I had never been part of a serious on-line gaming community, with my only experience being a few Unreal Tournament online death matches and Streetfighter / Mortal Combat bouts across the SNES X-Band (coffee's on me if you actually remember that thing!) I felt I would not find any like minded individuals to play with and that online FPS gaming communities were generally unwelcoming of people with actual lives who did not have time to memorize every map, terrain glitch, sniping spot, and maneuver in the game.
I came across the BWC post completely randomly, and posted a reply that amounted to "you guys sound great, wish it were possible for me to join." Within hours I had a reply on this thread as well as a PM from a BWC DI (Drill Instructor) who convinced me to give it a shot. I found this level of personal involvement both refreshing and intriguing, so I replied. I installed TeamSpeak (for the first time) bought a headset (for the first time) and had two or three very helpful individuals put in the effort of directing me though the forums and registration process. Long story short I've been dropping with BWC for about two months now and am thoroughly impressed by the camaraderie, professionalism, and FUN that I experience as part of the group.
If you are even remotely considering dropping with a group, you owe it to yourself to check out BWC. I promise you won't regret it.

For the most part, I’m a fan of single player experiences. But as someone who enjoys the Mechwarrior universe, I thought I’d give MWO a look. I enjoyed those early experiences, but it readily became apparent that teamwork made all the difference. Teamwork not only made for a more enjoyable experience, winning is fun, but it also provided a framework for improvement within the game. As I continued to drop, I frequently ran into members of BWC, sometimes as opponents, sometimes as team mates. I found them to be a fun group, and it was cool to watch them work together. Those experiences made me start looking for a dedicated group to play with. Naturally, I looked first at BWC. If teamwork is something you enjoy, if you want to have fun and improve as a player, give BWC a look. I’m glad I did.
