Then I apologize if I misjudged you, and also if I sounded like an ***. I can guarantee you we are having no leadership issues here. If Firefly died of a heart attack tomorrow we would be very sad, the XO would take over and we would game on in his memory in that order. If you don;t want to make a commitment that's fine, we're live and let live over here. But I can assure you we have some fun in the BWC. Seriously Firefly once bet me about when Curon's head would explode from dealing with all the new recruits. We generally prefer to have fun by winning, but fun is the end goal. If you want to see how we are in practice, join up and check out one of our training sessions(in MW:LL). If you don't want to join up then I wish you genuine good luck with what you do chose to do.

Alrighty then. I'll be sure to give you guys some thought. To be honest, I don't see much in most other merc groups so far anyways.

I read your posts and I respect what you are saying. After reading your posts it sounds like you would fit in well with us. Our 'trial" period is as much a chance for you to learn about us as it is for us to learn about you. You can tell us "no thank you" after that trial period just as well as we can say that to you...and with no hard feelings on either side too.

Good luck. Maybe you'll find yourself in a few matches with us after the game fully releases.

Welcome to BWC Curbstomper. I have to go now, I read Yuba's post and need to feed myself now...though it certainly won't be even 10% that good!

Lol, I was all proud of myself for making some bbq ribs then I came across that too. Put my masterpiece to shame!

Well, it's my first month in BWC, and I have to say I have had a great time so far from the Planetside Farewell Tour to all the training workshops and meet & greets. Great instructors in both PS and MW Divisions who are both patient and thorough with their instruction. I try to attend every training mission I can even if it is a series I have gone through before because our various instructors have creative ways of getting the same lesson across to those who attend. The level of organization in BWC and the dedication of its leaders and instructors puts any guild or clan I've ever been in to shame.

If you're still on the fence, just register and put up an application on our forums and find out for yourself if the BWC is right for you.

Mash the buttons and all that good stuff, see if you can break it

Still updating all the secondary stuff, but all the need-to-know stuff is there

I'm not looking to officially join a team right now but if the game allows it, I wouldn't mind rolling with you guys on missions.

I appreciate you stopping by, appreciate the dialogue in other threads, and appreciate the camaraderie you've shared with me personally as one vet to another. I also respect your decision to wait it out, and I will make sure that we keep a place open for you in the ranks should you wish to join.

I don't know how to allay your fears, but I do know that I want a guy like you on my team. However, I want you to want to be there because you've made up your mind, not because I've convinced you. But I'm going to answer some of your questions.

1) You can join our Teamspeak server and I will provide you with basic access. Forums are another matter - we don't have public forums, because we're usually part of other forums so our in-house boards are primarily for internal stuff. On Teamspeak you can find people playing MWLL or [redacted], and if you're in either, you can join up. If they give you any crap, tell them you know where I keep the keys to the wheelbarrow and you have permission to drive it. Say that exactly, they'll understand what you're talking about.

2) BWC is a multi-game Company and has been around since 2002. There is no internal strife. We do not tolerate drama. We've had exactly two periods where the future of BWC was in question and they were long ago. Today, we are several hundred members strong with a whole host of peripherals and presence. We are more than an MWO merc unit. Now, the whole tyrant thing... I can't really tell you anything about that, I will let my members tell you about me. I've run BWC for over six years and I am one of the founding members. I tried to step down, twice. They wouldn't let me. I am blunt, I am abrasive, and I do tend to tell people exactly what I think. But I always treat my members with respect, consideration, and care. And honestly, as long as external non-members don't walk into my three-metre kill zone I'm usually a fairly laid-back dude. I tend to make sure that my teammates are taken care of (ie, sponsoring Planetside accounts or Founders packs, making sure they get new hardware for their computers, helping them find jobs, etc). I don't know what tyrants do, but again - I'll let my teammates tell you whether or not I'm a cruel jerk. I very well could be.

Now as to the question of joining us without being a member - as I mentioned, you're welcome to hang out on Teamspeak with us and get to know us. I don't often extend that courtesy to random strangers because we are fairly insular. However, like I said... I want you on my team because I value quality people with whom I can get along. We only approach the people we want to join, we don't spam every account in the Hiring Hall. Take that for what it's worth.

Now I'm wishing I had set up my "I told you so" from the very start. I was planning to just be nice and stay out of it, but we all know he is going to join anyway. Just waiting for him to realize it.

Having just joined with BWC, my first thoughts are those of being very impressed.

The organizational structure is the best I have seen so far in any guild that I've been a part of. If you put in any amount of effort you will not be left behind or ignored. I say this knowing what it is like joining in a guild (company... w/e) and not knowing where to turn for advice or how to become emerged in the community. The simple library of knowledge that is available is very impressive, as well as the player base with which meaningful interaction is very easily acheived through our many channels of communication.

The work is still up to you and how much you are willing to commite to succeed in the goals you have in mind for yourself (which is by no means a concept only exclusive to this game but rather something that is essential for life itself).

I immediately felt welcome upon signing up, and had more than enough assistance in getting on my feet and immersed in the community. You will feel the exact same way if you have the ability of logical thought an completing step by step instructions.

I have now finished my rant, come join us, you will not regret it.

I'm just overly cautious about making commitments. Comes from a mix of bad in game and rl commitments i've made in the past and don't want to repeat again. For now you guys just hold the #1 slot on my list of teams to keep an eye on.

You guys definitely show alot of organization and from what i've actually seen you guys really do support your pople. It's not just words for you guys. Color me impressed.
