I'm just a new recruit to BWC and I can say my experience has been only positive so far. I suppose it could change but at least for my personality, I believe I'll be happy with BWC for a long time to come. For the record, I am NOT active or ex-military and am a fairly easy going guy where stuff sometime does get under my skin. I hope all MechWarriors are happy with whatever clan / faction / company / group they join (even as a Lone Wolf!).

I would like to make very clear that I like that style you bring to the table, but am put off by the rank structure and line of command. I don't want to be in charge of anything but myself ever again. I also am allergic to anyone, anyone at all, barking orders at me. Even in a game, even in a simulated chain of command. Simply put, it freaks me out. That is the main reason I cannot ever be in your group.

When I say that I had a bad experience, I mean that I had a string of VERY bad experiences that came damn close to snuffing out my life. Not to mention destroying my body as a direct consequence of other people's stupidity in my chain of command. The hazing, abuse and random fistfights are no fun at all, either. I am comfortable playing with other vets, but not being told what to do in such an explicit manner. Too many bad memories associated.

Have fun hope to see you in game.

That being said, sorry for your experiences. I think many have all been there. And regardless of what or how you feel, that's NOT what BWC is. They don't hand a title or role to someone without knowing they can't do their job. And those who WANT to be promoted and in charge of people is purely out of helping other players get better, thus making the company better. Many people in BWC have a "what can I do" attitude. That's because they want to continue to make it a great place. BWC has renewed my faith that it's better to lose as a team, than win as an individual.

Come check us out, if it's still not your style, no biggie. But, wouldn't you at least like to find out?

Gotta say, I am pretty impressed by all the hard work I've been seeing everyone put in lately. In particular, our Drill Instructors and 1SGs have been working their butts off, but everyone from Recruits all the way up to C&S has been putting in overtime to make it work. By us, for us...and its damn good.

I am.pretty new to the organization. But as it appears to me that the rank structure is for organizing purposes and providing a clear line of communication. Especially in large guilds/groups.

It also helps aassist in games so there is a clear ability to coordinate attach and defenses.

There does not appear to be any barking order as such. More of hearding cattle and coordinating efforts such as priorities etc. It allows a larger group to work as a cohesive unit

I forgot to say. I really like the people in the group. They are really respectful and mature. Definately one of the best groups I have played with.

I recommend for anyone to try them out. You will be hooked.

I agree,

I've finally gotten off my butt and signed on with the BWC, and I am very pleased with what I've found. A well organized, motivated and competent leadership, and a core group filled with great people.

if you're still looking for a group of people to join, then in my opinion the BWC is a good place to start. Especially now if you're looking to get into the group / game while everyone is at a fresh start.

As everyone is well aware, this is my opinion. If you'd really like to find out if its a good fit for you, head over to the website and apply. You may just find exactly what you're looking for.

I found that the group of people I have met in the BWC are youthful at heart, passionate about having fun, excited to test old strategy’s and try new ones, and strongly believe that RL comes first. I have found that the anger and frustration that I have felt playing PVP games is not there when I'm grouping with my companions in the BWC.

Hey, thanks Thornn! :P The DI Team hold a few sessions a week trying to cover as many days and time slots as we can. Doing our part so C&S has more time to do theirs.

Personally I never thought I'd want to be anything more than a Private Mechwarrior in this outfit. But the outift gives us the opportunities to advance and participate if we want to. I think that is a fun part of the whole experience. Work and time, yes, but still fun.

Have fun hope to see you in game.

I initially was curious how "hazing, abuse, and fistfights" translate into online gaming but I take it that you are probably a former member of the military. That curiosity quickly gave way to a need to protect my teammates as I read multiple good-natured and good-hearted attempts by BWC members to change your perceptions.

I hate to be That Guy, but where others invite you into BWC, I am going to have to say if you take their advice I will deny your application. You have a very large set of misinterpretations about what we are about and I think it's for the best that you continue on the path that doesn't involve joining us. Not because we are what you think we are, but because none of us have time to correct your very incorrect perceptions about us. It would be unfair to you and an injustice to us. Please do not reconsider staying away from us. Go with your gut. Even if it's wrong, it will save us all trouble.

I'm sure you're a really nice person and an all-around cool swell guy, but there is no place for you in BWC. Sorry. Best of luck in your endeavors and I hope you find a place that works for you.

Has anyone brought up the fact that we have a European/Oceanic unit available? Just for folks in those timezones who would like to part of BWC.

Yup, if there is something we could have a bit more it's people with funny and weird accents (so I won't feel lonely), otherwise it's getting ridiculous incredibly awesome.

It's a small unit at the moment (12 guys), but it's a good start. It's fully implemented though, with staff and a dedicated DI for the unit.

Just a heads-up to BWC: we had a huge influx of recruits in June. We more than doubled it for July. And for August we are not yet even two weeks in, and we're almost about to pass June's numbers.

I see that...posting the DI welcome message takes a bit of time out of my day every day. And my pm count is starting to look like Thornn's...well not quite...but almost :D

I've been looking for a Clan/company/group for some time. Used to play Infiltration back in the day with the [AFA] clan and liked the ex-military/military style of playing. Having fun but cooperative and team oriented. Then I saw firefly's recruitment poster here on the forum.
So I signed up and hope you will accept my application. It's good to hear that you have some people in my TZ. (GMT +1)
The SOP is clear as crystal. The only reservations I do have is that I have a busy schedule due my work so I hope that isn't in the way.
As long as things are planned ahead I can usually make it.

I think they call that exponential growth, rather than influxes. I'm just glad we had the foresight to place growth markers for expansion implementations and a solid training pipe-line. Next order of business is to modify the training pipe-line to apply directly to MWO.

After playing against you fellows a while ago in DHB drunk night, and in other excursions as well, I can say I'm a fan of this corp. No trash talking, no cheese, just solid players and solid tactics. Not as good as DHB of course, but i look forward to seeing you Dirtside some more.

I thinks its that this is a great group in general. I mean the growth must have a root.

I'll keep my eye out for you in game Nom, hopefully one of our more experienced drops can provide you a more comparable challenge. :P
