I suspect that the lights and mediums would be a lot more common than the heavies and assaults, just because of the cost. Planetary garrisons could buy a lot more of the smaller mechs and cover larger areas Vs. buying one or two of the larger mechs and only covering their Spaceport... The same holds true for we gamers; buying a light or Medium doesn't cost as many C-Bills; it's just the economics of scale!

C'mon folks; this is the first new mech being introduced in a couple of months...personally I wouldn't care if it was a hoverbike at this point. I'm just happy that TPTB are still working up additional designs for the game!

BTW Devs: If you're looking for something different to fill the 75t slot; I'd really like to see the Falconer FLC-8R! B) ;) http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Falconer

Doesn't yet exist in the timeline the game begins at. Just as pointless as asking for Clan 'mechs now, really.

I'll admit, though, that I'd be interested to see if Flying Debris could make an abortion like the Falconer actually look good.

Dude, that was dry humor.

The cockpit in that pick yo posted would look better on the MWO Flea.

Well, I haven't had the chance to play the flea before outside of MW4, and it looks interesting- I'd like to take the FLE-15 for a run. But could we get less of the light 'mech propaganda in every damn story? We get it, they're important, but even in the cataphract announcement there were allusions to some sort of mystical skill that only light pilots truly understand- I want to pilot lots of things, from commandos to atlases, but every other 'mech announcement seems determined to talk down to me just because my usual ride isn't under 35 tons.

That said, I welcome another skirmisher/backstabber to step up and compete with the Jenner.

Everyone was hoping for Battlemech 16 and they brought us a megalomanic Agromech?
Just joking.
Nice move Piranha and PGI.
The FLE-17 has a modern endosteel chassis and some quite impressive weapons.
And MASC, hey cool.
Everything packed in a compact square package with low profile.
I think this this thing will be more of a pain in the *** to Assaultmechs than even a Jenner.

That's gonna be like trying to swat a gnat! Another good ride for the dedicated recon pilot...

Yeah, it doesn't exist yet, but it will soon enough. As for the "abortion" comment...it doesn't have to be pretty to get the job done! The stats are solid enough to overlook the rough ride it would no doubt provide for the pilot.

I would have preferred an Orion 1000x over yet another tiny tissue paper mech.

May I suggest the Atlas-D? Upgrades the AC/10 to an AC/20, the LRM-15 to an LRM-20, two medium lasers to four medium lasers, the SRM-4 to an SRM-6, and 14 tons of armour up to 19. And all at the cost of ~12 km/h.

Dear MWO,
More medium and heavy mechs please.
Those are the bread and butter of the Battletech universe.
We need 3 or 4 mediums and heavies in a row.
Might I suggest Enforcer, Vindicator and while you're at it Thunderbolt, Warhammer and Shadowhawk (I know they are unseen).

I was initially perplexed by this post, but I am now choosing to interpret it as sly satire on the people complaining about getting a tiny 'mech: if a small 'mech is bad, then the bigger the better, right? Why have an Orion when you can have an Atlas? Why have anything BUT the biggest 'mech, amirite?

In all seriousness, part of the Orion's appeal is that it's basically a mini-Atlas. Actually, I am pretty sure fluff-wise the Orion is older, so you could say the Atlas is just an enlarged version of it.

12 km/h and a smaller profile are crucial.

lol that's not the point Garth! :-P

I like a little variety and playing the same, single, mech over and over is boring. Don't you want us to spend money to buy new mechs?

Ps the AS7-DF is my founders mech...
