When the Flea ran into an Atlas and fell down, the Atlas can just squash the Flea with its leg. How was that?

the Dev art looks simillar to a locust so that will make those fans happy. I am sure one of the variants can be modded to Fire Ant.

Could it be the "starter mech" for new players ?

Then we should look forward for the future trial mechs rotations.

Waste of developement time.

What does this bring that you can't already do with a jenner/commando/raven?

Absolutely nothing.

There are still so many mechs that can actually be put in that aren't just duplicates of existing mechs with different shells that should be coming instead.

It fills a hole, and is one of the few mechs in it's tonnage range that is usable (most classics in this weight class are unseen.) It (should) be cheap to repair, too.

It resembles the Fire Moth quite a lot to me.

It does fill a tonnage gap, but the HIghlander does too...and it fills the lack of a JJ capable assault, there are more light/light medium mechs then assaults, it is probably the mech that more people want to play, and will keep people playing this game...more so then the Flea at least and that is why the Highlander should get priority...it helps the product more then the flea to be commercially viable.

Not really. The Flea is going to put pilots in mechs they own sooner, meaning initial investment will be faster. That's important. It also looks a lot more like a Locust than a traditional Flea. So bonus points. The Highlander is great and all, but it's a high-level mech, whereas the Flea is great for the new player experience.

Valid points, but 60% voted for the highlander first...closer to 70% if you give half the "i don't care" votes to each option. The people have spoken :)

will the flea get any bonuses?
for its light weight (speed, turn, engine size to speed ratio)
for mounting light weapon systems (extra range, recharge/reload, heat bleeding)
be able to mount extra systems (ams, emc, command, radar...)
for training (count as 1 in 3 of any other tree)
for suffering a massive weight disadvantage

Why is it taking so long to add the best mech in the universe to the game? Are you all so worried that people capable of piloting the Flea to endless ROFLSTOMPS of their enemies will ruin the game?????? The agony of waiting!
