Guess they're saving the good stuff for promotional exclusives.
I guess it does look nice... vastly superior to the TRO "box on legs".
And I suppose it's (presumed) ultra-cheap price will make it a good starter Mech for a Dispossessed pilot.
But at 20 tons, that armour is going to be paper-thin, and not everyone is as clueless as those n00bs in the promotional blurb.

Hmm, twin medium pulse lasers, twin small lasers and a flamer on the Flea, versus a measly pair of mediums on the Spider? I think this outclasses the Spider, in firepower at least if not in speed.
I for one welcome our new tiny overlords.

A figure of speech .
Although such a loadout simply isn't sustainable - something's got to give in a mech this size. Take a tiny mech, stuff it with this many guns and what you end up with is a turbo-oven. I'm guessing a 2 ml Spider would still be able to bully the theoretically "heavier" armed Flea just through staying power alone.
Still looks fun.

"With multiple lines on Asuncion, Bernardo and Victoria, after letting the Dragoons exclusivity clause lapse Earthwerks started selling the easy to manufacture, easy to maintain [Flea] by the DropShip load across the Inner Sphere.
Originally produced exclusively for the Dragoons until the Capellan Confederation acquired the design's blueprints via a Maskirovka raid during the 3040s, the post-Helm Memory Core FLE-17 variant is based on the older FLE-15 model."
versus
"Discontinued before the Clans' Golden Century, in one of their few missteps, the Wolf's Dragoons brought a number of designs with them in 3009, raising more questions to their origins while at the same time adding to their mystique.
[The Annihilator] was exclusive to the Dragoons until the [Gihad - IPA phonetic spelling] disseminated the design to Arc-Royal due to the strengthening of the relationship that Wolf's Dragoons forged with the Kell Hounds and Clan Wolf-in-Exile following their flight from Outreach."
The Dragoons let the Flea (and the Marauder II) become common in the IS prior to the Clan Invasion, but kept the Annihilator (which even the Clanners weren't building anymore) exclusive to themselves until the [Gihad].
