I just hope they are secretly coding artwork for an Urbanmech. Because why not. Can you imagine 8 vs. 8 or 12s soon of Urbanmech warfare?

Only if the only maps they can fight on is Terra Therma and Alpine Peaks.

I can't see a role for this Mech within the current Meta.

If you're going to be small and fast, you will go in a Spider or maybe a Cent. Otherwise you'll go in something much bigger that takes and dishes out more damage.

The Flea will fall between stools.

This would be interesting if this was given to Veterans so they could drop with rookie teams and give pointers and answer questions as a coach in-game. I would so do this on launch of the game to help out new players.

I assume the Flea got replaced with the Locust, at least for now. Since they're both 20 tons and there's no need to release two ultra lights in short succession. So, next Mech maybe is going to be the Orion?

Then maybe some surprise Assault Mech as a bonus second Mech in September to celebrate official launch and all. And voilà, the schedule would even be right again. :)

Wasn't it flea with MASC system? perhaps they delayed the introduction of flea to game because they need to introduce MASC system at the same time?

From what I've heard, the engine has difficulties with speeds above 150 km/h. And the current lag shield of lights isn't even funny. So, very likely no MASC until all this has been worked out.

Who cares about the masc anymore, just cap it at 150kph and give me the 20ton flea, I shall buy it and call it hard mode.

No, wrong mech. The mech you are looking for is the Celerity. Equip it with a booby trap and say goodbye to BlobWarrior Online.

Partly the issue is a 1:1 scale on battlemechs... in an engine designed for human-sized figures. MWO did not make the mechs human-sized.. So when the hit boxes divide the geometry quality resolution by 8, there's a huge difference between the landscape we see and the one server side. This is why shots fired around the pillars of Tourmaline magically hit invisible walls up to 6 meters away from the pillars.

This is also why HSR has had so many issues running at the current game speed. However if the simulation aka game is slown down, say 1 RL second = 0.75 seconds in game, there would be more time for the system to communicateback and forth, giving us better hit detection. Sadly every aspect of the game would suffer a 25% "slower" feel, to include the movement of our crosshairs and travel of our bullets.
