PGI throwing Founder money at MechWarrior Tactics?

There are also rumors that PGI is running out of cash to finish the game, and certainly MWO won't be ready for launch with most of the promised features.
Has anyone heard or suspected as much? Can anyone shed more light on these claims?

It can't be that expensive a project. Well, as far as PC games in the year 2012 go, I mean.
As for bribing the competition, why? Tactics is a turnbased strategy. It's like the battlechess of mechwarrior/battletech. Hardly a lot of competition between that and a teambased, giant robot sim-shooter.

Hearsay accusations without evidence are rather flimsy and just make you look bad. We have no way to prove it and can't do anything if it's true so why worry?
Ps saying its not an accusation doesn't mean it isn't one.

Community Warfare
Clan Invasion update
Beyond that, it will have game mode(s) and mechs and maybe 6 maps. I have been assuming for a while that all the sales-pushing by Piranha is due to a cash shortage, but who can say. Certainly they are not going to publicize that.
As for them buying off a turn based game, why? Half the people here cannot stand the average speed of mechs so they buy XL engines. They could not possibly deal with the pace of a turn based game.
Just like I expect many of you never heard about Fallout until Fallout 3 and certainly never played any of the turn based games.

I'd imagine it matters if they can't release, or release with promised features. Every time I hear something about PGI, it's that they're blowing money or making unlikely promises. In any case, trying to clear out some of the muck.

Also it's not really a big deal what they do with the money. It's theirs now, and they do what they please as a publishing company. As far as I'm concerned it shoudln't matter to the players, or affect them in any way.

Complete and utter twaddle.

Yes, the Publisher is the same and receives some of the revenue from MWO, however PGI directly funding Roadhouse Interactive is pretty much a Conspiracy theory.
Closing for now. I'll ask an IGP or PGI rep if they wish to comment. I would not count on it tho, as this is confidential information the public would not be privy to.
