Just a sketch right now though I plan to bring into Photoshop to color and continue to refine the design. C&C appreciated, and updates to follow.

they are perfect designs.

Sticking more to the original designs also shows some of the advancements the clans have made in that they can make curved armor plate easier and have a distinctly different design aesthetic.

I played a Timberwolf/Madcat the very first time I played TT. I've had the nickname Madcat since Middle School... it's one of my favorite mechs of all time!

Nice artwork btw!

It's a great sketch for redesign but hey the original developers hit the Timberwolf's appearance just right when it was made.
So i would prefer to MWO stick with the original. Did i mention the original looks pretty darn intimidating :P
Still very nicely done

i think the front of should be rounded so it looks more different than the catapult.
love the rest, especially the arms, the original ones dont look like they will surrive any hit cause they are so slim.

It does look very good, however it does look a little inner sphere

Thanks for all the responses It's still a work in progress so I appreciate the feedback. I will probably go back and work in more curves to give it more of a clan look.

Very well done. My one criticism is the cockpit looking a bit too similar to the MWO catapult. Give it a more rounded look, raise it slightly on a pelvic section and move the arms slightly further away from the center. As it is it looks a little to hunched over. All in all though a phenominal design, you are clearly a gifted artist.

The second design shown in wireframe was not a Timberwolf. I don't remember it's clan name but the Inner Sphere called it a Vulture. The Timberwolf is a 75 ton omnimech and the Vulture is a 60 ton omnimech. :P

According to those blueprints the Clans have fallen so far behind they no longer use myomers but electric motors and hydraulics. Interesting. I wonder if they just spent alot on pr to be so scary.

Reworked the cockpit and torso to incorporate more curves to look more clan and less innersphere. figured I'd get some more feedback on the design before I got too far.

Wow, that additional curviness is hot. The cockpit would have great visibility too.

I'm going to just come out and say it; Given that the Mad Cat is probably the most iconic of 'mechs in the Battletech (heck the icons for MW 2, 3, and (kinda) 4 used it) I think it should be left alone. I'm not totally against redesigns, I actually liked the MW 4 Vulture, but I think that the Mad Cat should retain its "classic" form.

Addendum: At minimum the arms need to be more Marauder-like as that's where the Inner Sphere partially originated from.

The revision of your original design is better, but it still feels like a catapult that someone added arms to. Maybe make the arms more slender, and move the box launchers back some. The feet feel awfully small as well

AWESOME! I love the second design, very new and good MWO style, but still looks like a timberwolf
