It seems like we who are normally considered dinosaurs in most games might actually be the norm at least here on the forum of MWO B)

Since the other thread about age seem to have a non-working poll i hope this poll will work so we can easily see what age groups are represented at least here on the forum.

Turning 31 in a few months, however, after a night of heavy boozing I feel like I'm 90 years old...

We should put our actual chronological age but also with our maturity level. So for me it would be 45/12

Why does the poll stop at 51+ ? I like how it dismisse all the 51+ guys as "all you OLD guys" like they dont matter anymore lol. Hey OP, The BT community is probably the most mature gaming group around. Alot of guys have played BT since the 80's and I know alot of excellent pilots who are in their 50's, 60s and a couple in their 70s. Let them represent!

I've been playing BattleTech and Mechwarrior since they first brought out the game.

One of the best games ever. Glad to see people want to save it. :)

Happy birthday... I guess? You are not 40 yet... your life isn´t over yet. :D

...

Thanks; *I* turned 40 four days ago. Posted Image

I'm also kinda let down that I 'surpassed this milestone' yet when I come over to this poll, I find that I'm still in the same bracket I've been in for four years. :)

Started in '87, and ended up 'inheriting' a rather decent collection of TT minis, books, etc. (even a copy of the ol' BattleDroids first edition) as my friends moved away for college, etc.

...then one day about...fifteen years ago, I come home to find my apartment broken into, four bankers boxes of books, the BT collection, and some albums and my stereo are gone. :(

Played every MW & BT game that's been released on the PC, and still have my original disks for Dynamix's inaugural version of the 'giant robot sim', and Infocom/Westwood Studios' top-down RPG. (those were stored elsewhere, thank Weisman)

Youre going to clear the room for the young generation sir. We will see who is going to run scared after the game launches.

although the vets might consider me as youngblood, too, i can tell you one thing: never underestimate Experience. some here might be a bit older, but you don´t get there without learning some evil tricks! :)

Turned 42 this past week, one thing i always liked about MW games is that they seem to attract an older crowd, which usually (i stress that word) meant not having to deal with asshats online.

I'm 40, been a fan since playing, I think the 1st Battletech Computer game Called the Crescent Hawks Revenge by INFOCOM from memory. I played it on an Apple IIc in the 80's. It was an RPG but captured the spirit. And of course played all titles since. I have been waiting for this to come along for years now! Cant wait.
