I like any anime that 'hooks' me. I, myself, can't tell what show I would like lol... Also, Jormungand was such a bad *** anime! The show reminds me of Black lagoon, but with some kind of overarching plot! I'll be on C3 if anyone is interested in playing with me ^^b and steam as well since I guess C3 crashes sometimes when I leave it open for an extended period... Was looking around and you need 20g to open a guild. ;D Gensokyo opening its doors in RO2 xD? Edit: OMFG They just CLOSED THEIR DOORS TO EVERYONE aside from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam! D: "Dear Asgardians, We are happy to announce that OBT will start tomorrow, 3rd January 2013, at 1300 HRS (+8 GMT)! That is less than 19 hours from now! However, it's with our deepest apologies that we announce we will not be able to provide the RO2 game service to players outside of our optimised countries - Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam - due to our licence agreement with the game's developer, Gravity Co., Ltd. These aforementioned licence terms will take full effect from the start of OBT tomorrow and we deeply apologise for any inconvenience caused to players. We are extremely grateful for the support you have shown RO2 so far and we thank you again for being a part of this journey. Thank you all!" I guess... that will free up my time to play other games >.>

That marks the first time in my life that I have access to an online game that has region restrictions. Prior to this I was restricted from games in this manner. Can't help it when game companies decide to be idiots though, and for what it's worth I hope this bull**** never happens to MechWarrior Online.

So in other words, only you died, not the entirety of the Lyran Commonwealth?

In other news, I've cleared Prince of Persia within 12 hours in 2 days, and now cleared Mirror's Edge in about 7 hours today (after clearing PoP). They're both remarkably fun, and completely underrated by reviewers, honestly, Graphics aren't all that impressive, but the gameplay is good. As well as the stories. I regret to say I did not want to put down the controller at all.

So now that that's done, my stock of unplayed PS3 games is cleared, and it's time for me to return to the PC for... Ragnarok Online 2. Hopefully after all that waiting it doesn't suck, or I'd have to wait even more for Blade & Soul. >.>

Patchy, just wanted you to know that Tenri and Tenshi and I just played it for several hours despite the statement by PlayPark. It seems like it was a bunch of hot air to try and scare people away to ease the load on the servers for their own countries, and a few people accidentally assumed the worst and started protesting.

That statement is by Playpark though. So if they wanted, they could suddenly enforce the restrictions (in spite of not doing so properly beforehand) and disable all the work you put into the account.

We need lobbyists for gamers' rights!

I just cleared Mirror's Edge a few weeks ago, great game, waay underrated.

Mirror's Edge did give me the distinct feeling it was designed with the PC in mind though. The controls got a bit clunky on my PS3.

... like how Skyrim's controls are a bit clunky on the PC really.

I woke up on the floor this morning. With a loud thud. And woke up my dad next to me with that sound. It's amazing how hard it is to gather enough strength to get back on the bed after it happens.

Needless to say, I think this qualifies as waking up on the wrong side of the bed. ;-)

I'm playing Jormangund though. Because of my location and all.

Screw that, I created a new character on Einherjar named... Knowledge. Why this name isn't taken, I'll never know.

I see you guys are only level 15/16, so I should be able to catch up with you by today. =P

Looking forward to play with you. Sent you all friend requests already.

Psst. There's a bug that prevents you from leaving your party correctly. If affected you cannot pick up any advanced + loot. I lost a Dragon Fly Card because of it. So when leaving your party, make sure you see nothing when you right click on your face.

I give up. The lag in Einherjar is freaking unplayable.

*patpat* Should we start characters in Jormungand instead? I wouldn't know if the Einherjar server makes much of a difference in terms of lag for me, since I haven't tried Jorm, and I assume both servers are across the Pacific Ocean from me, anyways.

No idea. At the moment I'm toying with the idea of playing with you guys on Einherjar and levelling only just enough to keep up with you guys, and doing my main gaming in Jormungand when you're sleeping.

Oh, that would be the other issue behind your lag -- you're only online when the majority of the target market's online, and every server is bursting at the seams with players in/around your time zone.

That makes sense, but RO2 servers are basically all full all the time anyway.

The lag seems to be population dependent, not server dependent. Aka, in an instance with a lot of players (such as the 2nd area from levels 5-13) the lag is ridiculous.

Whereas in stuff like instanced dungeons, I'm completely lagless.

Reached level 14, by the way... so we can quest together if we're online together. Ahem. =P

... it wouldn't take more than an hour to reach 15.

Well, on the Einherjar account, anyway.

Got to level 15 and finished the Blue Meteor series of quests just before the server shut down.

I'm an Ice/Lightning mage... planning to make a Ice/Lightning/Healing sorcerer - so that I can fulfill both DPS and healer roles.

It's pretty damn overpowered even now, before starting to add healing skills. The freezing + lightning combi kills most anything before they even get to strike back once.

BLARG you are making the same exact build I am going for (except maybe with slightly less focus on healing and more on the Ice/Lightning DPS combo when I get there). BUT IT IS ALL RIGHT I HAVE MY CAT ASSASSIN AND/OR ROGUE AND/OR RANGER AND/OR MONK AND/OR WARRIOR TO BUILD

The idea for the 1st job skill combo is Frost Driver - Lightning Bolt x5/6 - 3(Frost Driver - Lightning Bolt x3 - Cold Bolt x2): this deals with that annoying freeze resistance after the first freeze.

For multi-attack situations, Frost Driver - Thunder Storm - Lightning Bolt x4 - 3(Frost Driver - Thunder Storm - Lightning Bolt x2 - Cold Bolt x2).

Cold Bolt's position here will be completely supplanted by Jupiter Thunder once 2nd job dawns, and I'll never touch Cold Bolt again.

For the second job, Frost Driver - Lightning Bolt x5/6 - Frost Driver - Foresight - Jupiter Thunder - Land of Recovery - Frost Driver - Lightning Bolt - Lightning Bolt - Varetyr Spear, etc etc.

For multi-attack situations, Frost Driver - Thunder Storm - Lord of Vermillion x4, etc. I don't expect to be needing to use this very often, but if I do a combination of mana pots and Water Arms should keep it going till all enemies are dead and I can pull a full mana heal using mana-over-time items.

I've chosen Water Arms to firstly increase my survivability (since I'll likely be the party healer most of the time, and a dead healer's not very useful). Not planning to rely on crits to heal, and +10% heal amount is going to be of use only in limited instances, I'd think. Also to reduce my overall reliance on pots for the entirety of the game.

Chosen Alchemy - intelligence fortifying pots for boss fights will keep damage and healing numbers both high, and high-level blue/purple pots may help in more long-drawn fights.

Rejuvenation to be used only in Panic mode if the usual rotation involving Land of Recovery every 10 seconds still isn't enough to keep the tank alive if the tank's using his potions properly. I don't expect this to be all that often, so not maxing Rejuv.

Not maxing JT mastery, because even 15% chance doesn't seem very high to me, and that route would be more appropriate for someone using Wind Arms anyway.

The plan is to be able to deal nonstop consistent damage while repeatedly healing the party every 10 seconds for the entirety of any fight, to deal sufficient damage to be useful in bringing down bosses, but with very few spikes to avoid drawing aggro onto myself. I realise a Wind Arms - JT Mastery - Maxed Colt Bolt approach would have a higher theoretical DPS, but it might run into mana shortage issues, and seems to be more likely to draw aggro as well.

If you're intending to pull a more DPS focused build, then you should max Jupiter Thunder Mastery and Wind Arms instead, and use the Water Tree instead of the Earth Tree so you get to use Meditation.

Something like this would be the most damaging Sorcerer possible:
http://www.ro2skills...bdnbqqBeC2dldrA

It's hardly the exact same build. It has a completely different tree. =P

Also, stat allocation's different. Being focused on consistent healing, defense and damage, my priority is to get my INT as high as possible and use AGI as a secondary stat. In order to maximise your damage potential, your priority would likely be to get your AGI as high as possible and use INT as a secondary stat - a bit more INT isn't going to do as much damage as an additional crit would, and our gear already gives us plenty of base INT.

Ideally, with sufficient attack accuracy from epic equipment through maxed Meditation, you should be critting nonstop - and when that is paired with the Frost Driver or Wind Arms x2 boost, you're looking at x4 base damage on all your attacks. Or, 320% magical damage on Varetyr Spear, 256% magical damage on Jupiter Thunder.

How are you pulling off 5-6 Lightning Bolts during Frost Diver's freeze duration?

And yes, I was hugely exaggerating the Sorc thing, I did feel like my individuality was threatened though when you picked the same class I was aiming for ; _ ;
