So not much time needed for us to RP out before we crush some Jaguar heads...

Because of Snow Raven´s Omen *Drool*

Had to look it up, very not bad...

They're not bad. A little on the heavy side (they weigh more than an equivalent sized SRM or LRM) and bring back the problem of minimum ranges for Clans (who can otherwise fire LRMs at point blank and not mind). You also need enough ammo bins to properly utilise their variant ammo types. Their versatility makes up for it, though, and the HE rounds (potentially doing a staggering 36 points of damage out of the 7 ton ATM 12) are phenomenal.

ATM's aren't my favorite, but I did wipe the entire star of a guy at the game store back home with a single Phoenix Hawk IIC 4. HE rounds are brutal.

Yeah I just looked up some of the 'new' (well new for me anyways) weapons and I'm blown away. I really want to field that Direwold D that thing is super nasty!

Yet another instance of me having problems with BT science...
They realize HE rounds are less effective against armour than the HEAP rounds loaded to LRMs normally right?
See if they said HESH all this could be debatably avoided...

I think it's more a terminology fail than anything. The missiles themselves make sense, you can have range, power, or a portion of both. The "HE" missiles get less range but more boom. "More boom" missiles doesn't sound as Authentically Military though.

True that Sparks. Just you know. I see 'HE rounds do 3x the damage vs enemy units as LRMs' and think 'Ow ow ow ow ow dammit physics pedanticisms, stop trying to break out of my head to throttle someone!'

To each his (or in this case her) own. The crit seeking ability on that thing is outragous. I'd use it if it was faster. Heh, now I'm looking for mechs that pack that crazy-gun-40 that are actually fast.

I think I saw a Vulture (Mad-Dog) with two HAG-20's...
