So,

As title states I unlocked the last of the pilot tree. However, I'm not quite sure what I unlocked...as in what are they referring to that I unlocked? I expected to see an additional laser/ballistic/ams/or missile slot available. Can someone educate me or direct me to a post that explains wth I just unlocked? Thanks!

this hasn't been implemented yet so right now it doesn't do anything

I think I know what it will be for but I don't remember enough details to spout off about it

As of now, the are only 2 modules available right now. A capture assist module that speeds up 15% of capture time when you're in the enemy base and the other one makes the information of your current target appear faster. What you've unlocked is the possibility to ad one of these in your mech. You need to buy it on the mech configuration screen. You will see on top a new tab called module then you will be able to buy 1 of the modules. The on your pilot screen you get a new tab called module tree and you will unlock the module using 5000GXP. Hope it clears up a bit.

By unlocking "Master" statis the moduals are now avail. in the Mech lab.

Select the Pilot Lab, look for the two box's listed as "MechTrees" and "Pilot Trees", select pilot trees and the Module categories will be listed.

Currently only the "Support" and "Sensor" are enabled, by clicking on the "Support" tab the modual will appear in the left window, select it and complete the purchase. Now that only means that you have that modual avail. to load on a Mech.

Back to the MECHLAB, select your Mech and click on the "configure Mech", at the top are the two tab's "Loadout" and "Modules", select Modules. See to the right the four Icons, last two are avail. if you purchased them.

Like buying equipment, grab one and drag it into an empty slot, (should be 5 empty) and it's loaded and ready to use.

Hope that helps,
9erRed

(Ps: Once I purchased the modules it was avail. to load on every Mech I have!)

You can also equip said module in the MECHLAB. On the mech you have leveled up click on the MODULES sub-tab and you can buy a module for your mech and equip it like any other equipment. The Capture Accelerator costs 100,000 C-Bills.

Heh.. Too Slow, Magik.. too slow..

Actually, at the moment its pointless. All mechs can mount 5 modules for testing purpose. You now can mount 6.

But there are only 2 available so far.

Ah, thanks all. What I missed was you need GXP to unlock instead of mech xp. Thanks a bunch everyone.

which is all well and good, but the mastery still has no effect until such time as they A: have more modules, or B: have mechs with fewer than 2 module slots (though admittedly they said off the bat that most mechs won't have 5 slots outright it's just a placeholder)

I just unlocked the Master, Module Slot, i have enought xp to buy the hability at the Pilot Trees, but i cant, its not avaliable to buy.
Also, even with the master unlocked, i cant buy the modules at the mech lab...says that isnt unlocked.
I work hard to unlock my master on my catapult founder...how do i need to proceed to have the module instaled now?

and apparently they changed what mastery does, now it's worth it even without the module XD

Those are old posts. The Master works as we have 3 modules and no more mechs with 5 slots. Some mech have but two or three slots so getting Master now is worth it. Sort of. The new zoom module isn't very good, but they're working on it.

Actually the problem with implementation is still there...gaining your Master module slot adds nothing to the mech's module slot locations, started with 2, went Master, still have 2.

Waste of time and xp.

On what chassis? You should report that as a bug then. Both of my mechs that have Master gained a slot just fine.

Works just fine.

I'd look again. Also, just having master available isn't the same as spending the XP on it.

Which mech/variant, btw?

If you unlock Master Module Slot on three chassis of the same mech does it confer any additional bonus?
