WOW this makes me feel old!

I remember very fondly the old Kali95 days. Getting into ******* matches with Ven and DarkPheonix, screaming obscenities at the lag, living in the future - gaming on the internet.

Ended up running TFS for a good long spell until the admin team broke up over something stupid sometime after MechCommander started to wane. Back in those days I think I spent more time trying to keep the league running smoothly than I did actually playing the game. Wouldn't have traded it for the world, though... good times, good times.

WOW! Now i know i am in the right place!!! I Hail all brothers and sisters back from these days! And these were the days! I was on Kali95 from 97-00 in GC-m3l mainly. Went by the handle Ace-Tj-KMRA back then served with Steel vipers Clan under Khan Aphastrike and then with Clan Nova Cat under Sub-zero. Ranked up to Star colonel. Also the handle i am going under now is also from one of the best mates and brother in arms, "Brut4ce" with whom we have been fighting side by side throughout our time in KALI95.

I have been away from online gaming since then, although i did follow all other MW titles up to 2004.
Then 12 - some years later (up to about a week ago), i got an SMS from a friend sayin' "Hey, they got a new title up MWO and its open beta", and here i am again brushing the rust off my (now much older) shoulders and going at it again! Woohoo! Game on!

I started out in Kali summer of 1996 as RFR - probably best known as [HJ]-Lynxcat. Been in & running HJ on and off since then, we spent a lot of time in Starsiege and MW4 after NM finally faded - most of the original players are still in & active, planning on playing MWO. For those who remember Clan Godzilla, a lot of those guys are with us now, along with much of the 4H from TKZ.

For those who have -bad- memories, relax. People grow up a lot 16 years. They have kids and calm the hell down.

The old teams should unite and teach these new kids a thing or three about their 'mechs.

Played with Clan Phoenix on MPlayer when I was a kid. Geez, '96 or '97? Any of the old CP crew still around?

wow haven't heard about Kali in a VERY long time. I played MW2:Mercs fall of '96 pretty often. Was with a Wolf Clan that competed in one of the bigger leagues of the time although I couldn't participate because of school work.

Fond memories of that time:

-28.8 modem
-max players in game: 2v2 with lag
-graphics were all polygon, no textures for me
-piloted a Summoner with medium pulse lasers and jump jets.

My old unit played MW3 but I was on to other things at the time. Something brought me back to MWO, probably the nostalgia factor. Even with the bugs of beta, I'm still amazed at the game compared to what it was back in '96.

Back then I was =WC=AngeloFetladral. I still have the WC for old times sake. Waiting for the Clans to show up in MWO

kali95 and netmech DOS were where my roots started. I can't remember much from back then or who I played with but I've had the same Alias since then.

If anyone remembers Dihashi feel free to PM me. Been looking to get with a group of organized folks for playing MWO in a group setting as solo dropping is hit and WAY miss

This is good stuff, I'm =GDL~Carlyle (Grayson) and at that time Hessian worked for me at my company in Kitchener Ontario. The Star League information and players all were from Mech3League which I founded with players from *SJ* Grand Council days. Of course we could not get the game Mechwarior 3 developed into a League format (we tried).

All these old names and Kali #252 are stirring up memories. I think I still have most of the information from back then on hard drives that I'll have to dig up.

I wasnt from Kali95, but I still wanted to reply because i was playing mw2 in mplayer (i.e. mpig). had lots of aliases...mostly immature....Tugnut, Buk_Naked, etc... Was in a couple clans called House Ronin and Widowmakers.

Good to see mw2 players still piloting 18 years later!!!

Haillo, loved MW2 with Kali, and I ended up as Khan of Clan Wolverine for a little while back in 97/98 fighting on the GC league. Fun times!!! I remember a few of my fellow CWV Warriors, but not the enemy sorry, too busy killing to take names (and being killed).
