I want to make sure I've got the pronuncation right for the Duchy of Oriente

So far I've seen OR-EE-EN-TAY
OH-RYE-EN-TAY
OR-REEN-TAY

I think it is the first, but want to make sure I've got it right.

As Gigaton said, last part shouldn't be TEE but simply TE, like the first part of "Terran". Not the typical ending of an english word, but that's no English word, that's Spanish .

Oriente pronounced "OR-REE-EN-TAY" You almost roll the R, which is why I've listed it twice.

And why would everybody in the culturally most diverse sucessor state, which is the FWL, use a native spanish pronounciation? Apart from probably not speaking spanish in the first place?

The official language of the Free World League is english, so I guess an english pronunciation would be correct.

"Oriente" is a Spanish word, in English means "Orient" or "East", in my opinion the pronunciation of this word is the original language, as we talk about "Los Angeles" not "the angels".

Maybe theres a planet in the innersphere called "Deutschland" but the native language is english so it is pronounced "Dewshland"

its clearly spanish and its my favourite subfaction of the FWL because it has many spanish inhabitants and because of orientes culture, which is spanish/italian according to the FWL manual.

british and us-americans have a weird way of pronunciating latin words and the same applies to spanish. oriente is just spelled as it is written, ergo not "or-ee-en-TAY" but "or-ee-ente". the last e cannot be spelled correctly with common english phonetics,

I think it is Spanish (Oriente=East) so it should be pronounced [or'Yente]

As a person of a multi-cultural family (through marriage/Mexican) Ive always been drawn to the FWLs Latin parts of its origins as well, great post Bragas.
