See there, nothing to worry about. I knew they were listening. Thank's for everything Paul.

I don't give a rats *** about PUGS or competitive play. I play this game to play with my friends. This makes the game not worth my time.

I'm done with this game.

Can anyone tell me how I go about requesting a refund of my Founders purchase and get taken off the mailing list?

Do please remember that this is still a Beta Test. The first goal is to prepare the game for release. If they need to get the 4 man team system working properly before they move to the 8v8 Premade MM, then so be it. It may not be the ideal option for everyone, but frankly, to demand a refund because a feature is not fully installed at a given point in beta test (though it has been promised to be in very soon) is to misunderstand what is going on here.

Just making a note here: "Community Warfare" is now officially no longer slated for "90 days after open beta".

Otherwise, props to the transparency! Greatly appreciated, we need more of it. Respect also to the decision to let Founders decide on Premium start without any restrictions! I didn't expect that.

well takeing it down to 4 people playing togeahter is STUPID.....if a clan/group cant play togeather because other people dont like being steam rolled because they choose NOT to be part of a group is NOT A SMART IDEA...and i WILL NOT BEING PLAYING that stupid crap untill they get it back to letting clans/groups to play togeather....i DO NOT like being penelized because other people DONT like playing with a group

And pugs DO NOT like being penalized because people think we should be forced to play a certain way (in a group with voice comms) just to have a chance at success.

And 4 man groups are a TEMPORARY change until further matchmaking changes are in place.

Hey speaking of transparency. Would something like a patch timeline on the launch screen be viable? I know it's been mentioned before, but putting something along the lines of a condensed version of this announcement, and any others like it, into a timeline in the launch screen could head off bad press at the pass.

Sure bad press is a certainty but it is partially preventable. Stitch in time saves nine, and all that jazz.

Except my circle of friends is small and most nights we only have 6 / 7 or 2 / 3 people playing. So in effect I can't play the game with my friends most of the time, Phase 1 or Phase 2. It's better to ask for a refund before the money actually counts than wait and be screwed after launch Open Beta.

Did you miss the part where you can create groups of up to four in Phase 1? The only group sizes that are not available are 5, 6, and 7. If you have > 5 but < 8 people on, you'll have to form two groups. Not ideal, but I think it's a worthwhile compromise to keep big premades out of the PUG queue.

*reads thru the post and thru the email she receives and sighs...*

While I am somewhat happy that they responded to the feedback from the announcement released earlier this week there is STILL no of the borked joystick/gamepad controls. What is this some kind of top-secret project or something that this is being ignored since Paul's post about joysticks in the Beta forums in August? By my count that's almost 4 full months that we've heard absolutely NOTHING about this other than the following:

"Turning a Mech (not twisting), is currently a digital input. i.e. It's an on or off state. For proper implementation we need to change that to an analog input so the further you throw the stick off center, the faster your Mech turns.

Unfortunately at this time, this feature is low priority while we try to finish our last few feature sprints to get the game ready for Launch."

We even have a note from an earlier article from PC Gamer in 2011 about this:

http://www.pcgamer.c...ves-the-series/

Quoted from Ross Bullock: "Haha. Very good. You got very good odds on joystick support. We will have announcements down the road talking about some more of that. But we are very excited about being dedicated to the PC platform, because of all the little tools and hardware and things we can do with it. Including joystick support, and advanced joystick support. So, yes, absolutely. We’re dedicated to it."

So far all I've seen about this "commitment" is a whole lot of silence. :P

But wait.. I didn't join the beta test to test features.. I joined to play with my friends.. damn them for disrupting my goals for the moment.

I understand its a BETA, and have submitted many tickets...so don't go there. Thing is, I saw this as the future game my group would be playing together, these announced plans make it look like it's not. I guess I'll keep looking for something I CAN play with whatever friends are online.

Thank you Dev Team for this informative look at the game's upcoming features and being mostly exprienced Gamers I'am sure after reading this(with the full understanding that crap happens)that alot of the complaints(tar/feather/pitchfork)posts should(need)to be reeled back.

That makes no sense... if two or three of you are on, you're good in both phases as a group of two or three. If six or seven are on during phase one, then you have one full group and one half full group (sort of like playing while two or three of you are on). Same for phase two, with the bonus that if you happen to make another friend in-game, you can all drop together. What's the fuss about?

After this big gameplay injection, we will look at the plan for the Clan Invasion.

...so, what you're saying is the Skjaldborg and the FRR will lead the charge against the clans, save the Dracs and Steiner from certain destruction, and single-handedly journey to Strana Mechty and face down the Clans on the Field of Honor and win? And then the Snow Ravens and Steel Vipers will put aside their differences to annihilate the Green Turkeys?

It's a Beta.

Temporary change.

Play something else.

If MWO was officially launched then you would have a reason to complain.

First. . . time ive gotten a first.

Anyway, thank you for fixing the lag. . . that was kinda brutal.

Let me ask you iterate on the founders premium time then. If i read that correctly when open beta starts we will act as if we have no premium time until we hit the button at which point it starts like normal, but at the same time are not obliged to hit the button until we feel we are ready and willing?

Just FYI, "First" and "Sniping" lose their legitimacy when you go back and edit the post.
