If I remember correctly, from MW2 it was the Timber Wolf with 2 PPC's, 4 Medium lasers(ER i think), and 2 LRM20 racks. PPC's may have been ER too. That was a long time ago, but I have kept as close to that formula as I can. Though I am expecting a considerable change with the new system. One cannot be too rigid.

Locust IIc - 'primary' or 'original' load out.

It's your worst flashbulb nightmare at 130 kph!

(Question: does the Cicada count as a "chicken walker"? I'll bet it has an interesting gait . . . )

Cougar: lasers, machine guns, jump jets

Owens: fast engine, lasers LRM; shoot and scoot!

Both are beast mechs.

Marauder II, classic style. Heavily armored, long to mid range flashbulb that jumps.

I still love the Raven. Just a fun and greatly maneuverable mech. I love lasers and SRM's in my Raven.

If you mean reverse didigrade legs, I'll take the Thug, a bit too robust for birds legs though.

Marauder II.

Add jump jets, swap in a list of tweeks, arm with PPCs, and I could run the MW2 missions (except the undersea mission) with exactly the same configuation. It was actually a disappointment when the face off with Clan Ghost Bear and that silly Grizzly. Thing blew up without getting a single shot off.

As a Combine loyalist, I have to go with the Avatar AVI-0C. The C Variant focuses on long-range weaponry: an ER PPC, Ultra AC/5, and a pair of LRM-10s. Like all Avatars, it also carries a pair of Medium Lasers for a bit of extra punch in close quarters. It has that nice mix of energy, missile, and ballistic weapons, allowing for brutal firepower while making heat management a cinch; it also features both CASE tech and a decent amount of armor, so all that punch doesn't come at the cost of survivability. Add in a C3 Master Unit, and you've got the definitive Heavy-weight commander's 'Mech.

Oh yeah - it looks awesome, too. :D
