What? They invaded for like, a month in the 3070s, that counts, right?

If they're not an option I'd join the Ghost Bears during the initial invasion, but I got more and more interested in the Falcons as they settled down and figured out how to live in the Sphere. By the mid 3060s I'd be happy to join the budgies.

You do not need to fear the Ghost Bear, as by the time you know we have attacked you, your mech will be salvage for our tech caste.

Actually isorla is anything won through a trial, this could include but is not limited to salvage.

i'm torn between Clan Wolf and Jade Falcon (Thanks to MechWarrior 2), but in the end i chose Clan Jade Falcon. Wolf is a close second though, as weird as that sounds.

Honestly tho, other than the weapon-tech they've managed to retain since their exodus, there's no overall benefit to being in the clans other than to enjoy the year or 2 of superiority before the IS get's the idea to join together to defeat the invading clans. By then, IS counterpart weapon-tech has made their way back into the fold. For sure, there's the "I wanna win" mentality that's generated by the immediate advantages provided by the superior tech, but I must admit, I'd rather have a challenge than a semi-quick and decisive victory.

Rather than taking the time to debate/dream about/cry about the possibility of being able to partake in the invasion as a clan member, build up the established Houses and merc units at the onset of release. Any way you look at it, until the devs give us a clearer picture of the timeline, your participation at the beginning is far more important than desire to desert those you would otherwise call brothers-in-arms for the first shot at "better" equipment.

Actually playing a Clan character can be a HELL of a lot more difficult IF you play it right. Nothing like having to pick off one surat while his friends pop ppcs in your back like dezgra scum. Dueling while having to dodge secondary fire is quite a challenge.

Yeah they could be. I am honestly surprised they are not. I mean there is enough info in the defunct Field Manuals for the Clans.

That depends a bit on which clan you belong to.
The clans initially used different levels of honour during their trials of possession against the IS.
Clan Wolf, for example, was rather liberal in the use of Zellbrigen, and would thus declare the fight to be a free-for-all should the opponent break Zellbrigen. The Jade Turkeys, on the other thand, enforced a rather strict Zellbrigen, and would thus be subject to the above situation.

How strongly each clan enforced Zellbrigen changed quite a bit by the time of the Battle of Tukayyid.
