Ghost Bear. They were one of the few clans to be somewhat successful onTukayyid and when the time came they knew when and how to change with the times.

I have been a proud and honorable Warrior for Clan Jade Falcon since I first started playing Battletech years ago, I still play tabletop when I get the chance and still fly the banner of the greatest among the Clans.

Ghost Bears. Their concept of family and willingness to adapt and accept others is very appealing. On top of that their warriors are extremely dedicated and fierce

I would join Clan Ghost Bear because they have the only 2 remaining Mega Warships among the Clans from the Kerensky Era, they switched from a Crusader Clan to a Warden and moved most of their population, BattleMechs and MechWarriors to the Inner Sphere, oh yeah and MW2: Ghost Bear Legacy of course!

Ghost Bears. Wardens, and not as nuts as the others. Also, not due to be annexed by Jade Falcons in the next decade.

Regardless what anyone thinks or says the Smoke Jaguars as a clan are dead. Sure, there are survivors. But they are no clan anymore. Some warriors might have been absorbed, others became outcast, dark caste, whatever you wanna call it. The clans recognize the Jags only as past being. Their civilian caste was maybe absorbed by other clans or maybe joined the free guilds or came under SLDF protection. So as a clan the Smoke Jaguars were annihilated. As a collection of people, they survived and lived on under a different name (probably much like the not-named did)..

You will all see. The Not-Named Clan will return one day, and then certain parties will have debts come due... :)

The IS feels like it is in trouble with the Clans Invading.. imagine all the Clans working together to finish off the Not-Named.

Jag, I respect your prowess in combat, but what I don't respect is the fact that you think there are Smoke Jag Trueborns, and then there are everyone else. If you aren't a Trueborn in that Clan, you are kinda screwed over. I do not care that you got annihilated by the Spheriods, due to your own stupidity. Now, granted maybe you proved yourselves in the eyes of others since your "Annihilation", and good for you. I still have grudges, and I will keep them until I have my blood **** sated. – guardian wolf

That fact you mention of us thinking/believing that there are Jaguar trueborns and then there are everyone else is well grounded.

Let me explain to you Wolf why.

With the way and principles our Great Father created the Clans in mind, name me ONE other Clan which based its existence on those principles only more than the Jaguars did!

The different Castes – as NK envisioned – had the EXACT purpose and status as we maintained within our Clan. So were the warfare doctrine and Martial Code.

Screwed if you weren’t a trueborn?
And why is that? We didn’t murder or enslave our freeborns. They had their rights and lived well as long as they respected the law. That we were in our majority arrogant towards them? Yeah right…what Trueborn wasn’t? But that doesn’t equal screwing up!

Were annihilated due to our stupidity???? Our stupidity? How wolfish way of thinking, quiaff?

We were defeated (not annihilated) because the IS’ elite might targeted us only; because everywhere we turned we saw only traitors (foreign and sadly, domestic too – a traitor that took his personal vendetta with his Clan instead of his direct oppressor), back-stabbing policies and cowards! That’s why we were defeated. Dare and tell me that if the two-pronged Bulldog/Serpent campaign had hit your precious Clan or the Falcons, you wouldn’t have ended in the same way. Dare to tell me that and really believe it!

We were attacked with total defeat in mind due to two major truths:
  • The Inner Sphere saw US (and not your or any other Clan) as the most dedicated to the cause (a cause which the majority of the Clans voted for – remember that!) we embarked on AND the most dangerous and powerful of all crusading Clans.
  • Our occupation zone had a far broader front-line than your Clan’s (which was comfortably flanked by the Steel Vipers, Jade Falcons and the Bears). Which meant that it was easier for IS forces to mount multiple attacks on multiple advance lines. Add to that our sharing of our Occupation Zone with the Nova Cats – a "Clan" that all of a sudden decided that their portents and visions were more important that what their Great Father created them for and a “Clan” that turned their blind eye to their honor and purpose not only interfering with our defensive efforts but even joining IS against us laying down their weapons without even as much as a shot fired – and THERE you have our “stupidity”. The Ghost Bears? Ha! What did they do? NADA! They already begun to move their sorry excuse of a Clan to the IS as they too, embraced cowardice and double morale.
What the Falcons and your precious Clan did?

Not nada. No.
They plotted their dirty policy to denigrate and mock the IlKhan and portray us as a useless and undeserving Clan only to boost their own gaining. How painful was for us to see the Spheroid knife which wounded us wound-twisted even more by our alleged brethren! THERE you have our “stupidity”.
And is it you talking about still having grudges?

“Lend me your arm my fellow Khans and help me defend our honor” – Lincoln Osis said. “Stand with me. Aid me to drive the invader from my homeworld and purge this blot upon our honor, not only of the Smoke Jaguar, but of the Clans as a whole!”

And what did your and other Clans do? They started bickering and pointing to the mindboggling impression and belief that THAT was a Jaguar problem! THERE you have our “stupidity” which defeated us. Treason in the Occupation Zone and treason in the very Hall of the Khans!

Yeah, we were “stupid” allright. “Stupid” not to see the REAL enemy! :)

What Clans? As of the Dark Age the Not-Named Clan was still in absentia. How many Clans are even left? The Ghost Bears have integrated. The Goliath Scorpions have integrated. The Snow Ravens have integrated. The Nova Cats have been abjured and integrated. The Sea Foxes have more or less integrated. The Homeworld Clans are all either dead, have moved into IS nations, or are in no real position to do anything of import. Clan Wolf is still a sovereign power (I think...honestly my knowledge of this time period is pretty limited). The Hells Horses are taking Clan Wolf's stuff. Clan Jade Falcon is still doing its thing.

Edit: Had to cut my post short.

My point is this: even if Catalyst continues the BT narrative after Dark Age/Age of Destruction, they still wouldn't bring back the Not-Named Clan. It would be a joke. However, if this situation did arise, and the Wolverines did come back from the deep Periphery (or wherever) I find the idea that the remaining Clan institutions would ignore all of their responsibilities in the IS to go out and settle a 300 year old grudge to very funny indeed.

How about us Wolves, the Clan that the Founder, who happened to be the son of the Great Father, chose to mingle his bloodline with. Clearly he saw something in us that set us apart from the other Clans.

How about no? The Founder said:

This means ALL castes were to work together for the good of each Clan. The Jaguars clearly did NOT get that message.

Oh you DID NOT? No murders or enslavement? No screwing up?

Oh apart from all the murder & enslavement your clan did "NOT" commit, pay special attention to the fact that the "most conservative" of the Clans OPENLY defied the Founder's laws & held TWO ToPs for their warriors. Way to stick to the principles there buddy. I am sure that is just what "NK" envisioned.

Guy with each new post you make you sound more foolish & you dishonor yourself & those you associate with. Just do us all a favor & deactivate your account. Seriously. How many more idiotic, inaccurate, insulting, inflaming things do you want to post?

EDIT: Almost forgot, images are taken from the Invading Clans Sourcebook Pages 50&51

You know, this is the one thing that always troubled me with the Londerholm revolt. The Widowmakers did nearly the same back in the days and were declared unfit to rule just for that. Why didn't it happen to the Jaguars also? Was it just because Khan Moon was a better "politician" then Khan Jorgensson?
