All those Ballistics WILL be in the same place however it looks like so it's mainly an enrgy mech with ballistic and missile support...Just like the Atlas...

Yeah, an Atlas with arm mounted ballistics that goes 54 kph standard, and can JUMP. Whole lot of those running and jumping around... oh wait. B)

gotta love that the story featured that aspect of the Highlander :)

There was no way they would've written that story WITHOUT it.

Although having a Highlander with external speakers would be something I'd pay the massive Assault Class MC cost for. THAT aspect of the story was GREAT, because it was NOT expected.

You're the exact kind of fan that keeps me from being able to immerse myself in this community for more than 20mins every 5 months.

Now shouldn't you be spamming Ironwind not to cast any mechs that weren't factory mechs more than once a year to suit your own inner BT nerd vanity.

Gimme a break.

As with other Star League era designs the Highlander would suffer the loss of technology brought about by the Succession Wars, and when Starcorps' factory on Son Hoa was devastated towards the end of the Second Succession War the original HGN-732 became virtually extinct. An agreement between StarCorps and Hollis Incorporated to rebuild destroyed chassis from scratch using readily-available technology kept the line going until the mid-3030s when limited production was restarted by StarCorps on Son Hoa and Corey, producing barely a dozen new 'Mechs per year. These HGN-733 Highlanders were used in small numbers by the Capellan Confederation and Lyran Commonwealth, commonly as part of lances containing Exterminators, Victors, Grasshoppers and Catapults.[3][6][7]

There the official straight from sarna.net and I double checked it against all my source books the 2750,3025, and 3050 that I have in print and all my PDF source books. That could be how he obtained the mech and remember he was there when they obtained Helm memory core and they also obtain mechs and weapons and stuff from the Star League era Depot they had to share some with Duke Hassid Ricol in the book was stated that he brought only one drops hip with a force on it the other were empty to haul the loot away. Oddly enough they never said what they walked away with so they have some wiggle room about what could be on it. It could be a some advance tech that we don't have to modify such as xl engine, double hink sink, endo steel, ams, or artmis.

Spider is next week.
Trebuchet is next month.

Nothing is firmly committed after that.

Glad that we will be getting a 90 tonner finally. looks awesome.

Also since the other lance didn't detect her does that mean we will have a 90 ton mech with ECM?

So is there a schedule posted somewhere?

And is there more than the Spider, Treb, HL on the horizon that's confirmed?

Well, let's see. All over the place. List of mechs announced is in, um, Announcements - this area of the forums we're in right now - and the schedule of stuff they've given us a head's up on in is in the Command Chair area.

No offense, but since research doesn't seem your thing I'll be cool and list 'em here for you, beginning with Mech 13, since 12 was the Stalker:

Jan 15th - Mech 15 - Spider
February - Mech 13 - Trebuchet, aka Trench Bucket
TBA - Mech 14 - JagerMech
TBA - Mech 16 - Flea
TBA - Mech 17 - Highlander
TBA - Mech 18 - BlackJack
TBA - Mech 19 - Orion

Did I say 13? I meant 15... silly devs. :)

i read the HL have the ability to jump in the air, and stomp on lights.... and kill them only with the 90 tons fall-damage. Will this be implemented as well ? or only when collisions are back ?

It will be in MW:O at some point, but AFTER KD is back. They want to do a step-by-step phasing in of KD the same way they are with the Matchmaker.

I'll refrain from commenting on how enthusiastic that makes me about KD until after they're done phasing in the new MM.

Uh, not sure if you're aware of this but Ms cole is actually from Newcastle, which despite every effort to the contrary isn't part of Scotland, they wouldn't buy it,didn't even want it for free :)

If they continue the Light->Medium->Heavy->Assault cycle they've been doing, we will get the Highlander after the Trebuchet and Jagermech.

havent read the book for a while but i believe that davis infact HAD salvaged a HGN-732 from the helm lostech cache he just took forever to refurbish it as he did it with his own two hands

and before the clan wars you could still find a regular highlander complete with gauss rifle however.. zero ammunition for the big gun so they'd refit the mech with an ac 10 and store away the gauss for later use when the tech was available you know hoarders would do just that heh lostech what a gift.. anyhow..

highlander burials will be fun.... and actually many a drunken scot ive ran into in the past talk EXACTLY like that though would ha been better if it was ole davis McCall trashing the mechs hehe

Oh man, the Highlander looks great. The way the devs are going with their test, and the current lack of an assault mech hero, the best mech to roll out with next is the Highlander.

Got a post with all the details I could think of right here;
Testers Need The Highlander

Well, it's certainly a possibility - the Devs have switched the implementation order before, and putting the Highlander in before the Flea would restore the "Light, Medium, Heavy, Assault" progression...

On the other hand, it's also possible that they might still stick with the announcement order.

There is zero reason to release Flea before the Highlander, where did you get it from?

It interferes with their light>....>assault schedule.
Highlander was announced and done before the flea.

What is your reasoning for them to actually not give it to us after Jager? ;)
