Cool stuff! Hopefully I'll be able to try it out sometime once I've gotten some experience with the tabletop game.

Yeah. Can you imagine River City if MWO actually implemented pavement skids? It would make all those lights buzzing around downtown a LOT more difficult...

More difficult?

The inner sphere drifting association would like a word with you.

That is some mighty fine work. And thanks for including a download link!

Here is a peek at what I worked on this evening.

I'll probably resume work tomorrow, assuming I don't spend too much time enjoying the new patch *knock on wood*.

Also, I discovered a made a mistake with the bridges on Forest Colony, I'll fix them tomorrow hopefully.

This is truly great! A group of friends I play MWO with are looking to get back into the tabletop again via Megamek on Sundays. I cannot wait to try these maps. Keep up the awesome work.

WOW - perhaps a slight hint at a future TT expansion using the MWO maps printed on thick cardstock. me-thinks?

If they can be printed out at scale I would defiantly be printing em out to play on.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, but I am not at all associated with PGI or Catalyst or anyone else "official BTech".

Didn't get much progress done on River City today. Was playing MWO instead! Also, I wish MegaMek worked better, I keep getting strange errors at times. It doesn't display right and doesn't refresh the screen, I randomly can't access drop down menus, it randomly modifies certain hexes when I save (likes to randomly add basements to building tiles and also basements in random bridge tiles) and just generally makes itself a huge pain in the tailfeathers.

You should post these in the Megamek forums, maybe they'll start including them in their next releases.

Its 45x50, which is just shy of a 3x3 of standard mapsheets (15x17 if I recall, or 45x51 for a 3x3). However due to the surrounding walls I'd guess that its probably more appropriate for the kind of forces you'd use a 2x2 map for.

[edit] I'm toying the the idea of trying Frozen City or Caustic Valley next. Caustic is relatively straightforward (aside from the pain of judging elevations) but I'm not sure how to implement that "Hot zone" that is the caldera.

I found this while searching around it seems to be the original game boards if you have more ideas :-)

I'd just like to let everyone know my fellow goon Aquinsiel has uploaded a corrected version of my Forest Colony map to his hosting. In the previous version the bridges were bugged and the buildings were configured wrong.

You can find the link in the Original Post.

Amazing work! It even plays like MWO; everyone goes to the lake and gets demolished by LRMs

Any updates? I've been using your Forest Colony map for some battles and loved it, hoping to see more re-creations soon!

I've been playing MWO mostly!

I'll get back to River City this weekend maybe. MegaMek doesn't like to play nice with my desktop. Maybe my older laptop will have more success.
