1) Dreadnought Mech from Warhammer 40k, very effective aganist infantry in CQB.
2) The Titans, also from Warhammer 40k.
3) The Varitech series from Macross/Robotech anime series, they are a excellent combination between mech and aicraft.

Oh, I really like the Atlas; lumbering machine of death!
Also, trademark of House Steiner recon lances, lol.

Hah! I had you there.

Outside of Battletech/Mechwarrior, I'd have to go with Front Mission (because the mechs have more weight than standard Japanese mecha).

Personally, I like the AT-AT, Valkyrie II, Monster and Cyclones/Mospeada. Lion Voltron and some of the older Transformers were very stylish, too.

I think that 'Mechs/Mecha are sort of a universal language though. Something like the armored warriors of old- only bigger and faster and with nuclear weapons.

I like Peewees just as much as I like A.K.s, so if it weren't for Jethro I couldn't decide: Am I core or arm?

L5 Reisig and T-39 Bogatyr from BF2142, talk about 'realistic'
also the mechs from Earthsiege1/2 - ugly as hell but at least to me
they have a sense of charm.

A great Mecha was the Anubis from Zone of the Enders.

The boss fight against that thing in the first game wasn't a boss fight at all, it was a "survive until it ends" kind of thing. Scary.

Another nice Mecha, from a historical kind of view, is the Russian SV-51 from Macross Zero, as it was the first non-prototype VF deployed in actual combat.

I'd say one of my customized mechs from Armored Core: Last Raven.

Otherwise, yeah White Glint.

D-50C Loto from Gundam Unicorn. If I didn't know any better, I would say that this guy would have no problem fitting into btech/mechwarrior.

Give him a LAM module but instead he turns into a tank.

On another note would the SDF Macross be pushing it a bit to much?

Adjudicator from Starsiege. Especially in Heretic colors. The Goad (also Heretic) in second and Apoc in third. (All Starsiege. Although the Apoc is also Earthsiege 2, maybe even the original Earthsiege.)
