Masakari for me. I found one of the best infighting cofigs around that had the power to Knockover any mech above medium and auto kill lights. Plus my other config that I used was 2 ERPPC's with 4 to 2 UAC 2's((or UAC5's for closer engagements and more firepower.)), it ran cool enough to tear othe Mechs apart since they usually underestimated the AC's, till they realised it was to just line them up for the hammer.

for me it's the Shadow Cat always preferred medium Mechs nice mix of speed and bite.

The Nova Cat and Timber Wolf close seconds

Timberwolf. Hands down. My pref loadout is close to the primary but a little bit tweaked.

In the arms
2 ERLarge
2 ERMed

then in the torso
2 artemis LRM-15's with 3 tons of ammo (Same average damage as the 20's but cooler and lighter, allowing the extra ton of ammo)

And in/out depending on opposing infantry
3 ERSmall and 2 more heatsinks
-or-
1 ERSmall + 2 SPLas and 1 more heatsink

Now my second fav mech is the Kodiak, replacing the ERLarge and the UAC20 with twin ERPPC's and LOADS of double heat sinks.

The Cauldron Born was my fan fav. The low profile and punishing weapons load outs were what drew me to it. I wouldd have liked some more armor but we cannot have everything.

Going to have to also go with Cauldron Born, you just can't beat the low profile and scary weapon capabilities.

I chose the Timber Wolf. I do like the "D" variant. I soften up the enemy with my twin ER PPC's, then move in for the kill. I jockey around a bit and send a volley or two from the Streak SRM-6's. Then, I let him edge around to my rear where I nail him with my two rear-mounted Streak SRM-6's. Might be a bit dangerous for me, but it sure does surprise most opponents.

Theyre is no right answer! I love them all. The different defaults dont determine what they can equip, theyre omnimechs.

The Warhawk is a top 5 because its it super sniping quad ER ppcs+targeting Computer.

I'll take a masakari.

Long range firebower.
Capable of taking most mechs within 2 salvoes
4 PPC's

the super nova was great in MW3! I loved that mech. The maskari/warhawk started my love affair with PPCs. I just looked at the nova on sarna.net, and remembered all those clan mechs with weird arms that had hands on them. what does a storm crow do with its tiny hands? on a side note, I think that the clan mechs are more interesting from an industrial design standpoint than most innersphere mechs. a lot of the IS mechs are pretty fugly, whereas the omni mechs look more rakish and deadly.
