Picked other. I'm a fan of the Executioner. Playing the board game the Timber Wolf is one of the best all around mechs.

I've always been one for the Blackhawk (Nova).

"That is a nice leg/arm/foot you have there. *one alpha strike later* Make that, had."

Hmm, I guess I forgot to mention the Dire Wolf/Daishi because I haven't done too well in assault 'mechs in battletech/mechwarrior recently...
But, the Dire Wolf is a nice 'mech.

As is the Executioner and also the Warhawk...well, the easiest way to put it is that the Clans have a good selection of nice 'mechs ;)

Nova is also very nice, but I'm still trying to figure out how to configure one to be something I can work with really well. :(

You don't need to reconfigure Nova, you really don't even have to think about any of alternate configs. Prime config is only one that matters in this case.

I like all those choices, Mad Dog and Timberwolf especially, both have great long range and mid range punch and look great.

I mostly ride a summoner custom loadout (LPL instead of erppc, drop the LRMs for 2 extra MPLs and an ERSL), or a hellbie, but I do have a soft spot for the Battle Cobra, even though the Adders don't field it.

Mad Dog...all the way...LRM's for range, Pulses for whatever's left. The only thing the Catapult has over it is jets...

Nova Ftw ;)

Little crazy ****** has always been my first love in mechwarrior (my intro to the franchise was MW2). Sure legging the guy might take an arm with it and the heat mad primary config is the definition of a boat, but its always come across to me as a mech with ***** to spare.

Timber Wolf/Mad Cat All the way

Configuration D: 2 ERPPC's, 4 Streak SRM 6s, Good Speed and heatsinks for a heavy hitter, drop 1 ton of ammo to increase the armor.

Didnt work so well in MW4 since they super nerfed the SRM's so had to swap for Streak MRM40's. Worked fine in every mech game ive played and ive played em all but MW1.

Not an Omni. It's the best possible ride for a Freeborn or Solahma warrior, but as a Trueborn, you ought to set your sights a little higher. Like on a Fire Moth. :(
