All right, so the contention is that Yen-Lo-Wang is a "Chinese god" and the paint job resembles the Japanese Rising Sun Flag?

Would you have been okay with it if the 'mech was named Emma? Or Yama? It's all just Yama anyway.

Or is it that you're offended by the likeness of the Rising Sun Flag wherever it may be represented?

You're still not reading, while pretending to understand the situation. We are not the ones that are offended, but people will indeed find it offensive when it goes into open beta. It's just blatant ignorance to mix two things up like that and not know what you are doing.

Paul, you offend me. You claim to be Japanese, and while your last name does back up this assertion Paul is not a Japanese name. It is a name from the Christian bible - something symbolic which belongs to another culture. Incorrectly mixing these two cultural references is absolutely unacceptable. Please do something about this ASAP or I will take my ball and go home.

Then why the **** are you complaining?

Let the ones who are *actually* offended by this (all three of them) do the complaining.

First of all, I don't care what you think. I'm doing this on behalf of PG so they avoid issues on release. It's their problem if they choose to ignore it and see what happens. I'm looking out for the best interest of this company to not look ignorant of current events by releasing something so plainly insulting to either of these nations.

PGI can speak on their own behalf, they don't need you white-knighting this non-issue, stirring up contention where none exist.

I'm not sure what part of "I don't care what you think" you didn't get.

I do not care about skin or nationality! It's a game. Not real life.

It was so funny to read the clash between the Japanese and Chinese. I only read this when people complain about something that is just not worth your time.

The skin is okay, there's nothing wrong with it. But the skin is currently tied ONLY to a Chinese mech.

There are chinese in the inner sphere? Do they make this differentiation in comstar?

Notice these facts:

1st: It fires lasers.
2nd: It doesn't have a hatchet.

It's not a Yen-Lo-Wang. ;)

Find me a YLW toting a hatchet that's painted red and white. Good luck.

Again, I have to thank PGI for redesigning that horrible, horrible mech.

FYI-

The Yen-Lo Wang has never actually had a hatchet. See, it has a custom-made claw that in the TT and RP product it's been featured in simply treats like a Hatchet STATISTICALLY.

It's like how Han Solo's pistol shoots like a damn assault rifle.

Not that orange PEWPEW beams were ever considered to be lasers in the first place, but PEWPEW beams in illustrations have absolutely no relation to what weaponry it is actually representing, unless the artist went so far as to include the LAZORPEWPEW beams as colorized. Most do not.

However, this artist actually did. I assume the green mech is supposed to be a wolfhound, which would fit with it having an ERLLAS in the right arm.

Now, moving on to the YLW, actually that IS its stable (Teng, IIRC?) colors.
