you can win with much damage done and still lose money. i get founders bonuses etc and the only unit i can field is the jenner and not lose money.
and what is with the radar...either you have radar or you dont....you can have an enemy next to you and they do not show up......either have radar that works or eliminate it.

If you're putting XL engines into 'mechs (Or are playing with XL Engine mechs) the costs to repair them are going to be much higher.
Likewise, if you start cramming all sorts of the high-tech gear onto things. Keep in mind the price tags of your equipment when you buy them. The more expensive it is, the higher the repair bill.

No sane person is going to spend MC on repairs, anyway, so what's the point?

Depending on mech I pilot, and whether I'm pugging it or dropping with my unit, I earn between 200-350k per match.
No matter what mech I'm piloting, I always always come out on top.

I'm guessing that from your comment you have never lost a match or mech because the only time I get over 200,000k is if I'm on the winning team and the mech isn't trashed and since the game is specially designed to have one side win and the other side lose it makes it hard to always be on the winning team. So if one side is winning more that means the other side is losing more making it impossible for the losing team to compete because they cannot afford the upgrades, so the rich teams stay rich and the poor teams stay poor.

Sorry to say 99%, but I didn't say I never lose. It just doesn't happen often enough to matter. My WLR is approximately 2.5:1

Unless they're going to win, and big, at that.

Just don't repair it as a damaged engine still runs perfect.

Sure is & as such, it's stupid. It automatically acquires a target if none is currently acquired. There should be a passive & active mode, where if passive you can acquire something in front of the mech & relay it to yer brahs & only then can the targeted mech automatically pick you up at the same time relaying to his brahs. If active then it's effectively radar, auto acquiring anything in LOS all around the mech all the time & broadcasting to anyone in LOS where & what you are all the time.
Much of this problem with getting ****** in the fart hole for being the guys in the **** would be solved by implementing my idea for crediting damage done & using that to multiply credit for damage received by some factor (e.g., if 153 damage done (DD) & 200 damage taken (DT), then XP = DD + DT(DD/100) = 153 + 200*1.53 = 459 XP) then they could multiply by 100 for 45,900 C-Bills. They could adjust it for win or loss or whatevs. Just an example. The math/economics would be up to PGI. It encourages participation, it may make matches longer & more interesting & help to stop chumps from suiciding or leaving the team to save their paint. I started a post on it in Beta Feedback with more detail & also mentioned it again in the ridiculous announcement to go OB. Currently, you get XP/C-bills for dumb **** like pushing a button for spotting a target even though your sophisticated target acquisition system (RADAR) should do it automatically & does if no target is assigned, you get rewarded for being the lucky **** who got the killshot, you get extra rewards for winning the match by standing in a stupid ******* square! Meanwhile you get **** on for actually playing the game, being a "MechWARRIOR" & actually fighting, dealing damage & taking it. The current system is a ******** mess & it needs to be fixed to reflect what the game is supposed to be. With my idea you'd need to deal a lot of damage & take a lot to get the highest benefit from it, if you run out & die you get nothing, if you desert the team you get nothing, if you do a pile of damage but take none then you'd only get credit for what damage you did. Less credit for less damage taken is offset by the fact that less damage taken means less repair costs. The more damage you do, the higher the value of the damage you took. It better rewards the willingness to get in & fight & do what MechWarriors are supposed to be doing. If they wanna keep giving rewards for all that stupid **** then whatevs, but I think damage done & damage received need to be the biggest factors in scoring & rewarding at least until there are actually meaningful things to do like grabbing & moving high-priority items, disabling defenses, preventing evac's or ship launches etc.
Word up?

Don't know what your problem is, i make money (not much mind you) even in a defeat where I die, maybe you buy to much neat stuff?

Ah i see the problem, I dont run anything bigger than a hunch and I almost always make a profit. Heavies and Assaults cost more than a hunch to repair, so maybe there should be a mech tonnage bonus added in at the end of a match?
