It is stuff like this that allows me to have faith in the creativity and awesomeness of people on the internet - but especially the fans of Mechwarrior. Bravo.

I thought the overhead vent fan was cool until I saw that the chair slid out on rails, that sealed the deal for me. Outstanding job!

Honestly, the only thing i think its missing is to have the chair automated to slide in and out at the push of a button. That and maybe a fog machine going through the vents in there for the hell of it....

I have had thoughts for years about building a "Flight Sim" cockpit. I have played MechWarrior since the first PC title back in 1992. Since I just found MWO, and saw your vid on You Tube, I am inspired again! Great work, and truly inspiring. Thanks for sharing!

Holy cow! This gave me inspiration to build my own game cockpit.
My only "problem" is that I no longer find any good 24" 1920*1200 monitors anymore. (that do not cost as mutch as a new car)...
1920*1080 seems to be the winning standard. :)

Do you have drawings for you build? I would very mutch like to copy/build something similar.

1 year later and I've just discovered this.

I've dreamed about this kinda setup since MW2.

So Turbo Corvair now that you've had over 6 months to drive mechs from your Simpit... How is it? how well does it work?
I'm guessing the immersion is great?

This makes me smile and appreciate how enthusiastic and fanatical some players are.

Wish I had one of this back in the day when I had loads of time to play MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat!

:)

Ok, I just found this while looking for MWO wallpapers on Google... I can see this was done almost a year and a half ago but it doesn't make it any less Awesome. I've always dreamed of what it would be like to actually BE in a Mech Cockpit like that and this one time 15 years ago I went to this place where you could pay 20$ for 10 minutes in a cockpit much like this and somehow since then I've been dreaming of finding something like that but your Photo/project just made me realize WTF AM I DOING WAITING AROUND FOR WHEN I CAN BUILD MY OWN TOO?!!!?!?!?! Great so now I have yet another project on my long list of things I was to accomplish but somehow I think I might actually complete this one XP

Turbo, looking at your 2nd video, how did you get the map on a separate screen like that?

Not sure if he's tending these posts anymore... but he uses/used a program called The Magnifier, which he was not satisfied with.
