Lyran HQ, Dosasa
T 13:00
The place was nice. Everything that was not under construction, was shiny, polished, and put away. The hectic things in the place were the people, as he saw troops run down the hallways, reporting to posts. Techs were zig zagging this way and that, checking equipment, and then double checking it. Draco even saw turrets mounted into the ceiling on several apparently key hallways. The mess hall, was empty, and surprisingly peaceful. The tables clean and polished, the chairs, put away. Draco continued down, and he noticed that the closer he got to the CIC, the heavier the security was. Guards started to appear, then, they started to carry heavier weapons. Draco noticed another set of ceiling turrets at the checkpoint outside the door. The guard a gruff shorter fellow carried a shotgun like a child's toy.
"Name?"
"Draconis Wolf, of the Wolf's Dragoons, tell your Kommandant that I have vital intel about recent events he might need,"
"Sir, it's Commander Wolf... no he doesn't seem armed, and he says that he has intel about the alarm. Yes sir... Alright Dragoon I will escort you inside, I do not want a funny business, things are already hairy enough,"
"The door if you will please,"
The security guard obliged, and Draco entered the room. The room was filled with even more security, with a mixture of ARs, Shotguns, and service pistols. Draco gave a courtesy salute to the higher ranking officer, he had orders from Dragoon command he was not to disrespect the Lyran commander here, even though they had been on opposing sides in a few engagements. Draco had learned to respect the commander, even if he did not like him. And since the Lyran outranked him with the number of units under his command, he would be polite.
"Kommandant, this is Commander Wolf, he says-"
Draco cut him off.
"What I have here is some intel from from the Dragoons, thought you might be able to use it. If you want to hear it,"

"As you can see I'm a little busy, so if this is going to cost me, give me a price and get on with it."
He made no effort to offer the Dragoon a place to sit or lead him into privacy. The only reason the Dragoon would have showed up in person was because he wanted to make a show. He could do it standing. Besides, the Kommandant's sword was well within arms reach.
[[I'm out of time for now, so the best I'll be able to do for a while is short posts like this. GW, I'll let you lead this convo - don't screw it up and don't pull anything stupid/random out your *ss. If in doubt, don't post it ]]

EDIT: IRL is gonna be flakey for me for around a week or so, so I probably mean 'In about 8 days time, I'll get it up soon']]

[[Good looking out, Rogue. I have a three day weekend and no cash so I have plenty of time to post this weekend. Do I have the greenlight to go ahead? Nothing major ofcourse, maybe have one of the Clanners pick up Thom's message and move to intercept.]]

So, sure, write whatever you want, ping me it in a PM and I'll read it ASAP, and most likely green light it without edits. We're just at that point where if everyone does their own thing too much, plot begins to unravel, so railroading you a little bit through this difficult and traumatic time of canborn b*stards arriving.]]

One problem is, I have only started getting into Battletech a year ago, with MW4... and I know squat about the lore. I know this is going to be a problem, but is it a big one?]]

The only problem with my lack of lore, is that I don't know where to start. When I first played MW4: Mercs, I had no idea what was going on, and I could never fully figure out either. There's just, a whole ton, you know?]]

If you've played MW4:Mercs though, most of that fluff is semiself evident if you've read the news bulletins as the campaign progresses? When I joined these forums, all I'd played was MW4 and MechCommander 2! Sarna is a life saver. If you're confused on points from the MW4 timeline though, check out the 'FedCom Civil War' on sarna. I cannot overestimate the importance of sarna - nearly all my lore knowledge comes from doing wiki walks on it and clicking on whatever happens to look interesting. I once got a warning from Crome for having too many tabs open...
But in theory, be good to have you aboard, just get me a bio!]]

De'larouse Spaceport
Dosasa, Barcelona

Paranoid freak... that stupid Rashalhauge world really messed him up. Wonder whatever happened to the Dalian Guard?
Markus pondered while toiling around underneath the hood of the former Dalian Guard hoverjeep that the two had owned since the incident out in the FRR. Leaning back the grease monkey stretched his back and slammed the jeep's hood with a loud clang that echoed throughout the mostly empty mechbay. Wiping a greasy hand upon his well worn Ceres Metals jumpsuit, he took a step back to look over the hovercraft with an appraising look and smiled. Most of the damage that it had took from Thom's joyride through the burning bombed out streets of Vernakven were repaired, now if only he could get enough time to fix the feed mechanism for the missile launcher.
If Thom would have waited a bit, then he could have drove, instead of slogging around in the rain... So impatient.
A sudden commotion snapped him out of his thoughts, some of the 'Pride's crew was hanging out by the downed drop ramp. They originally were out enjoying the view of the rainsoaked planet while smoking, but now they were pointing out into the storm as a black and red hoverjeep cutting through the storm with three cars with flashing red and blue lights chasing after it. He had a sinking feeling in his gut that Thom was somehow connected to the scene unfolding before his eyes.
He quickly joined the others atop the ramp. And as he watched, the crew/techs told him how they were listening in on the bored space port police going back and forth on how some rogue Dragoon rammed through the hurricane fence surrounding the spaceport and how there were giving chase.
With an evil his the black and red hover jeep with the snarling wolf's head of the Wolf's Draggons came to a halt before the downed dropramp, instantly the door flew open revealing a soaked to the bone Thom. Markus' sinking feeling deeped as his cousin shouted something to the driver then pulling his rucksack slammed the door and began hoofing it up the gangway as the hover jeep zipped off on a cushion of air.
Oh s**t, I hate it when I'm right... Markus thought while joining the other techs and drop crew as Thom neared the landing.
"Cuz what's going on?! We heard the 'port police on the radio... something about a Dragoon breaking onto the port." The broadshouldered tech crossed his arms over his barrel chest in a 'I want an answer now.' pose. Thom then looked down the ramp as another car skidded to a halt at the base of the dropships ramp.
"Looks' I's a don't know. But da Dragoon's need help. They need's me in da 'thing." He stampered out a hastely answer as two fat security guards rolled out of the patrol car and began huffing and puffing up the ramp.
"Oh s**t. Get mounted up, we'll stall these piggies..." Markus added matter of factly to all present.
