So for clarity, you have no examples of goons cheating, although you think that "dropping as a group in mechs the group has agreed on" is in some way cheating, and asking for evidence of the cheating you keep referring to is in some way "circling the wagons".

This whole thing started because Buddah said that we ruin every game we come into contact with and was asked for proof. There's still no one providing any proof of that. No one is saying all goons are as pure as the driven snow, we're saying that we're not a plague of ********* locusts that sweep across the internet devouring games as we pass. Your posting has flipped from concern trolling to straight up patronising and disingenous, which is a really good indication that 1) you have no evidence for the things you claim and 2) that you are thoroughly entrenched in your "goons are evil" mindset to the point where logic and reason will have no effect on it. That's a shame.

Rage? I know reading comprehension is difficult but try rereading my posts. I know from experience when people feel they are victims they have a tendency to manufacture things in their mind that are not really happening. I will restate a few key points.

1. I never had a bad experience that I am aware of with an identified Goon.

2. I spoke of an apparent perception across 2 or more games and not my perception.

3. I said Buddah's statements are not entirely without merit due to the apparent perception of Goons in 2 or more games.

4. Then I agreed with someone's statement about Goons trolling to ruin the game for people and provided an example. It did not ruin my fun as winning every match is not important to me in a video game.

5. I spoke of people wanting to have fun playing in an ethical competition instead of winning at any cost and a thrilling lose can be more enjoyable then a stomping.

6. When questioned about ethics in a game I provided some examples of unethical play. Then the Goon squad decided to say I am accusing them of cheating. Trying to portray themselves as victims which appears to be their favorite tactic.

The only claims I make is the most of the Goons are portraying themselves as victims in posts in this thread and an apparent negative perception of Goons. Fil5000 seems like a pretty reasonable person. I have no examples of cheating because I make no claims of cheating. There is an apparent negative perception of Goons and by your defense it seems you are aware of it which makes that statement factual. I do not think "Goons are evil" and I find your antics quite amusing at times as I look into the fish bowl. Heck, I am finding this interaction quite amusing and chuckling to myself as I type.

It's really going to depend on what CW lets us do. I don't presume to speak for the entire hive mind, but a lot of us are looking forward to taking planets, shooting robots on planets and the cut and thrust of interstellar war and politicking. I doubt there really is a single "win" state - I don't think any goon would want to take literally every planet in the periphery, because then there wouldn't be anyone to shoot.

There is one periphery world that we've got our eye on of course. I wonder if anyone can guess which one.

FYI, this is the sort of claim you need to provide examples of, preferably without being asked repeatedly. Who has been playing victim? Sure wasn't me. Sure wasn't Halfinax. Feel free to link posts.

If you were just making an observation you wouldn't be arguing about it, and you'd have no reason to keep rephrasing and changing your argument. Clearly you have a point. Kindly state it explicitly.

lol... Just read the post where the Goons respond to my quotes. Making themselves out to be victims is dripping all over their posts. It is quite laughable. Reading things into posts that are not even there is a good sign someone wrongly thinks they are a victim.

Instead of spending energy on attacking posters why not work on fix the negative perception. I stated it in a earlier post (no I am not providing a link). Maybe getting members who are acting up to behave or kick them out. Most of this stuff is common sense when you are running an organization. However, I guess if it was really "common" sense everyone would have it.

I know the Highlander post was not serious. That was why I put "LMFAO" at the beginning of my statement. Read comprehension appears to be lacking a bit. Is it reading comprehension or do many of you suffer from Asperger's Syndrome? That is a serious question.

The problem here is that you can't fight baseless claims because you can't prove a negative. If someone says we're griefers or child molestors or whatever else the burden of proof is on them to back that assertion up.

What you're doing with this post is totally avoiding stating whether you yourself believe goons are ill-mannered trolls, while claiming to just be asking questions for the sake of the community on behalf of someone who does. This smells very, very strongly of arguing in bad faith. In fact, there's a widely used term for exactly this form of argument: concern trolling.
