FYI this does not make you educated on gun control. hth.

edit: off topic, but are you one of those guys who has a plan for what happens in a zombie apocalypse?

Being extremely knowledgeable in crime prevention and law enforcement would make me educated on it. Just sayin'.

Zombie apocalypse... lol I am working on being prepared for the more real collapse of the financial system. Especially with the idiots in the US Federal Reserve and the even more stupid Obama printing funny money which is causing the devaluation of the US dollar and inflation. The printing of funny money is creating an extra tax on the citizens. The artificially low interest rates can last for only so long then a financial meltdown will occur. Government policy and regulations cause bubbles. A collapse of the financial system will cause a disruption of the food supply. I am trying to prepare for such an occurrence, yes. Greece is a great example. Italy, Ireland, Cyprus, and Spain are not too far behind Greece. It is a very real, and frightening, situation that is closer than most people realize.

Ice, are you going to apologize for the accusation of fraud or are you going to take the same tactic that most goon haters use when confronted with facts?

I did not accuse anyone of fraud. I asked for an accounting of the money from the "fundraiser." I mentioned that it would be fraud if the money was used for purposes other than for charity.

Hey man, when you're accused of fraud it is up to YOU to disprove it, not the ***** slandering people randomly. Now, if you would please excuse me, I have to use my infallible logic to imprison all of reddit for child abuse and pedophilia.

Slander is spoken. Libel is print. Again... reference my statement in this post.

Still waiting for the explanation of the negative perception from Star Wars, WoW, Second Life, etc.. Any takers?

According to FBI stats, more the 60% of homicides are committed with guns. Knives and hammers hover around 15%. My math is a bit rusty, but I'm 25% sure that 60% is greater then 15%.

You're really terrible at this.

more people own cars then guns. Considering that you only need to be 16 before you're allowed to drive one of these two-ton steel death machines, I'd say stating the obvious doesn't help your argument at all.

It's really too bad your bad at posting, this might have been fun. Might have.

He doesn't NEED proof OhsH. The burden is on us to prove he DOESN'T have credentials. Just like we have to disprove every slur made against every somethingawful.com/forums member.

I try (but not that hard)

Being on the receiving end of it I may not exactly like what goons do, but I'll defend to the death their right to do it. It's entertaining as all hell observing it. I mean, come on:

[Jihad Squad consists of] bored players who'd waste in game currency repeatedly suicide-bombing miners, and sending in-game ultimatums announcing that they'll only stop if the victim posts a lengthy essay on some random asinine topic like the rule of fascism in the popularity of accordion music.

How is that not awesome?

Ice takes the interweb too seriously methinks.

Well, as a man who thinks God gave us guns and that they somehow cause less deaths then fuzzy puppies, I think IC's perspective on things may be a tad askew.

My error... it was rifles and not firearms. It happens.

I ask you this... Do we ban cars because the traffic fatality rate in 2009 was 33,308 and the firearm murder rate was 9,199? More people die driving than by firearms. Vehicle ownership is 230-270 million. Gun ownership is over 300 million.

The number of murders by firearms is irrelevant anyways. It still does not change the fact that, per capita, the US isn't even in the top 37 for murders in the world. Just sayin'. Do you believe you have the natural right to self-defense? Do you believe you have the natural right to life, liberty, and property? Do you believe government has the power to take your natural rights away?

Goons still don't want to touch their activity in Star Wars, WoW, Second Life, etc.? The silence is deafening. lol

I dunno about 2009, but there were 851 accidental deaths, 19766 suicides, and 11101 homicides with guns in 2011. Compare that to 33808 automotive deaths in the same year. I couldn't find the rate for vehicular homicide but I assume it's much lower than that.

It's almost as if you're cherry-picking statistics for some sort of agenda!
