Poutine is gross, but in a good way. Enjoy it in moderation!

Do goons celebrate Christmas?

Given the understood tear collection policy and the amount of potential happiness Christmas could bring I have the impression that goons would effectively be more Grinch like in their behavior?

It isn't POLICY to collect tears, it's just a thing that happens.

We have goons of all denominations, so we celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, International Kerensky Mockery Day, Clanmas (which is basically just the Furry version of Christmas and with more inbreeding), and the Heat Death of the Universe.

Last Christmas we celebrated by donating more than one hundred thousand dollars to the Matènwa Community Center. :>

Are there any other Goons waiting up for RobitSanta? I'm scanning the skies with my Raven's heat vision for any signs of his arrival.

Happy Holiday Goons!

Do Goons still 8-man?

I haven't seen you guys lately - or is it just the holiday break?

I had a good game dropping against Bok / Terminal Blue / Waffle SS and some other Goons that I can't remember.

It's been real quiet in the 8-man queue lately...

More people need to play Conquest in 8 man groups. Too many space poors worried about c-bills instead of playing the new fun gametype.

well conquest in 8-man i can take... conquest in PUGs is like getting your teeth pulled...

PUGgies think it is team death match and blames the Raven that actually tried to play the game...

linked my sad story...

http://mwomercs.com/...28#entry1669728

no choice though -- 8-man game are still few and far apart... last night sat through 1.5 hours with only 3 games...

I think it's mainly the holiday break slowing things down. Some of our newer squads have been running 8-man groups during the downtime though, which is very good to see.

I've mostly been taking a robots break to shoot Kerbals into the Mun at 2000m/s. Posted Image

Kerbal Space Program. You should look it up, it's pretty neat.

What do Goons do with their used tempura oil?

I'm just wondering, since I've been using mine as a great fire-starter this time of year. Just mix it with some dryer lint or cotton balls, light it up, and pile a bunch of wood on top of it.

Filter it and make some more tempura.

The tear collection is not a primary objective for WoL, but we do engage in it in oppourtunistically.

Battalion Bropocalypse: Now currently contains our logistics wing, and most of the harvested tears are a delicious byproduct of their brutally effective comedy gold mining operations.

Question:

How long would it take for the SomethingAwful community to eclipse all other independent groups in total processing output if the entire Goon Fleet downloaded and ran the folding@home scientific research software that uses processor off-time to find low energy folding solutions for proteins?
