I'm in favor of choosing your own scheme but at the same time i do not want to fight a pink monstrosity. I would still go with the choice possibly like in the original Dawn of War where you can colour different aspects like the shoulder pads/helmet/main body.

GEEZ, let's have some sort of order here. it's hard enough on us Old Farts to hit anything without without at least having team colors to help with enemy and friendly recognition.

I think pilots should be able to paint their 'Mech any color or color scheme they want. Though I think that forcing maybe a stripe of color for a house or an insignia would acceptable. Maybe you have a blue hand or blue weapon pod for house Steiner for example. Other wise I like the ability to choose. Gives people a chance to earn a name for themselves, "Crap, Pilot X is in here can't ever see him with that camo paint job." or "Watch out for Pilot Y hes in bright yellow but he'll mess you up." Gives people the ability to create an image that can be feared or mocked across the galaxy.

That was my intention in WoT with my Hetzer....was one of the few hetzer with buyed camo..- so i understand your point.
However in MWO i don' fear a bright yellow sole warrior - i will fear a lance that use the same paint....and work together as a team not as 4 individuals.

I think that people should paint their mech however they want. It would not bother me to see a person run around in
pink or yelllow, or both.
Sometimes I might wear a color to represent my loyality to a house like blue for Steiner, red for Kurita, etc. I might run
around in my favorite colors if I felt like it but, as long as it makes me comfortable I could care less about it.
So I would let the player choose whatever color they wish to be as long as they felt comfortable by it,
instead of force colors on them.
