Any plot plans I should be aware of btw? Otherwise I'm probably going to have Jack sit the next week out on his crutches, get him dressed nice to make the big public apology on the 21st, and aim to get him into a match before the 30th.
P.S. Still wondering what Thom meant by FF/SS xD
Hmmm.... Assassin would make a move during a public speech, will incorporate to next post.

Plot plan for D'Markus is he shows up at the Stables, I go into detail about the living arangements. I was thinking of have a dorm style housing where there's four people living in the same area, but they all have seperate rooms, two of them share restrooms. There will also be a large common room with small kitchenette attached. Was thinking about having Jack across the hall from D. This should make character interactions way more common and from the Rainbow's point of view help create that bond to forge some type of teamwork between the characters.
Also, when D finally gets up to his room, he's finding out that he has fight on the 20th, some random next to never heard of arena. So on the 19th he takes a trip out to the arena and checks the place out, then a feast, and the next night his fight. After that assesments on his two mechs (yeah he's winning, though its an unorthodox and controversial win. Which gets him some media time.) He then works over the details on customizing One-Eye with Kaylee...
Who's bunking with Dylan?

Mad Jack and DeMarkus have joined Rainbow Stables, with Erin blackmailing Jack into the spot, which he didn't take kindly to, so stomped a media van and caused A Scene. DeMarkus looked good on camera, earning him bonus cookies, and so did Bertie, so Rainbow recruited him too. He's not sure about going in alone, though, so has convinced Frederick to join him. DeMarkus has a match with Min the Merciless on the 20th, while Jack just beat up his own stable's bodyguards.
Alex, meanwhile, has had a match (slightly in the future from where most of us are, but right where we should be) and come first, but got himself in dire straits (and hospital) in the process. At least he gets money for nothing, though, since Rainbow have sent him an invite too.
Elizabeth has just arrived on Solaris with her Cicada and somewhat trashed Stalker, and has found a friend in Rick. They're burning the midnight oil going over the Stalker in the Mech Space while consuming various poisons.
Maligo got to drive a Panther, then managed to walk his Zeus safely into a gantry, which was impressive since even moving it suggested it was about to fall apart.
Voss is in Samuel's Tea House, watching Jack drive his Urbie through a media van and drinking paint thinner.
Walter arrived on Solaris and parked "Ol' Parts", but hasn't posted in a month, so might not be coming back.
Anyone I missed?

Good looking out with the sitrep.
@ GW was planning on having you bunked up on the other side of the dorm. But, after thinking it over I'm joing to go with Bertie and Fredrick if he joins up. Erin's thinking that since we were all out on the proving grounds together we may have a 'feel' for each other or be friends. Then there's the posting you had where you described your quarters if vague detail so I thought you'd stay there....
I don't know, what'cha wanna do? I'll do my best to try to make everyone happy here. But first come, first serve... also post more or give me a heads up when RL is weighing you down.
@ Rogue PM me... I want to know what you want me to do, wait for you to post from Von Bremen's POV? or are you going to post from your tech's.. (Dave?) view?

I'm still not convinced about her being an assassin. She didn't act like one, especially ISF. That's my problem with it. And there already is going to be an attempt on D's life. Just not for awhile...
We're all living in the same building, I'm sure we'll bump into one another sooner or later. Maybe D see's you out in the yard by your mech and goes over to check it out. He's never seen a Flea or Firefly or whatever it is, I always get the bug named mechs mixed up.
Or maybe Fredrick or Bertie doesn't join...

Callsign: Princess
Date of Birth/Age: 20; December 13th, 3011
Current Mech: Sentinel named Midnight Roar
House Affiliation: Un-Affiliated, trying to prove herself before signing up for the Wolf’s Dragoons
Military History: One Year of live-fire combat; While not the best pilot, she still is capable, especially in terrain she can use to her advantage.
Physical Description:
5’11, shoulder blade length blonde hair, green eyes. Lithe body, very athletic. She has a long, jagged scar on her back, reaching from the top of her right shoulder blade and ending at the left side of her waist. Usually wears jeans, a button-up shirt, and a black leather jacket.
Personality:
Distant and quiet, almost cold. Izzy was once a bright, happy girl, only slightly distant, but her father’s death and the revelation from her mother caused her to grow even farther from people. She doesn’t open herself to just anyone, and it takes a lot to get her to even speak at length. She becomes particularly violent when someone attempts to take her locket.
Notable Equipment:
Five stiletto knives – two up either sleeve, two on her shoulders, and one last one on her thigh
Locket – Picture of Sora Hikari inside
Open Background:
Born on Cylene, in the capital of Haclyon to a Wolf’s Dragoons father and an ex-Mechwarrior Mercenary. Izzy went to a private school her entire life, graduating and attending the University of Halcyon. Izzy was an intelligent student, but always a bit distant, especially from her classmates She graduated with top honors in 3027, but dropped out of school life at 19 due to news of her father’s death. Izzy disappeared from Cylene after what was reported as a violent argument with her mother. Izzy then stole most of her family’s savings and fled.
Has come to Solaris to try and bring in more cash, as the money she stole from her mother lasted only six months, causing her to sell her guns (for god pay) to make it buy. This also included a stint as a dancer on Galatea.
Deep Background:
Izzy is malfunctioning clone of Natasha Kerensky; the DNA was corrupted, causing Izzy’s body to stop aging physically as well as her body’s physical changes. The scar came from her second week on Outreach, where she got in a fight with some Mechwarriors at the space port. One of the Warriors had a knife, which grievously wounded her. Izzy would have died, had not a couple Wolf’s Dragoons broken up the fight
Her Sentinel, the Midnight Roar, is decorated on the side with the image of a keyhole, a remembrance to a former lover, Sora Hikari, whose whereabouts are unknown.
Is trying to locater her father’s missing Archer BattleMech.
*Her parents were a pair of MechWarriors, Jeremiah and Natarle Ward, who contributed their DNA as well to help make the clone a separate being from Natasha Kerensky and lessen the risk of corruption.
She swings for both sides as well.
Sentinel Specifics:
An upgraded version that replaces the Autocannon with a PPC and adds three more heat sinks; Izzy has also done away with the SRM in favor of a medium laser, to compliment her small laser - ammo for the missiles costs money, money she would rather not waste on ammo; cheaper to fix the mech then buy ammo in the long run.

Spent a few hours gleaning Sarna for the info and the right 'Mechs. I couldn't figure out if the Lupus battlemech was ok for this current time, so, if it's wrong, a list of Heavy-Assault 'mechs that are around about this time would be helpful

EDIT: PS, I PM'd Gozer about the Natasha Kerensky thing a few hours back, just so ya know Thom

Upgraded with dual Guass Cannons, each with two underslung ER Medium Lasers, standard jump-jets. There are two extra heat-syncs and upgraded gyros to keep the ‘Mech upright with the extra loads.
The entire ‘Mech is painted black with white highlights on either side of the cockpit.

At the time this is set, no one has met the Clans yet, so your Shadow Cat and your dad's Lupus would raise a lot of eyebrows.
As some alternate suggestions, may I recommend the Centurion (slower than the Shadow Cat, but with a big punchy autocannon), the Clint* (same speed as the Shadow Cat and still toting an autocannon and twin medium lasers), the Sentinel (same speed, carries an autocannon, similar "hunched-over" profile) or the Griffin (No ballistics, but it is an ideal mobile sniper if that's what you're going for)
As replacements for the Lupus, perhaps the Archer* or the Bombardier (both heavy mechs with shoulder-mounted LRM20s, the Lupus was explicitly designed to replace them; Bombardier matches the Lupus' speed, the Archer is slow but not completely rubbish), the Catapult (Quite common LRM artilley heavy), the Stalker* (in particular, the -3H, which is an 85 tonner with twin LRM 20s) or the Longbow (essentially a walking LRM50).
* Denotes BattleMechs already owned in some form by a PC. Not that there's anything wrong with you having one too.

I like the hunced over 'mechs best, hence why I actually picked those (and it looked like they were in the right timeframe - drat, my and my lore failures Q_Q)
I'll stick with Sentinel as the starting mech (I really liked the "hunched" mechs, especially the Cougar

Anything else I need fixed?

Actually, it would make sense that multiple Archer's would show up, as it was one of the most mass-produced mechs, so much so that no one knows any new tricks with them, they are pretty much regarded as one of the most straight-forward mechs in the field.
I would recommend against the Stalker, even though it was also mass produced (Almost as much if not more than the Archer), Gozer asked alot of people to keep the tonnage down, with a few exceptions (Mine being not only used by an incompident pilot, but is also being held together by duct tape and wishful thinking, so it might be nice for me to root for ya as a proxie lol)
And if ya need anything fixed IC, go see Rick, he's kinda developing a reputation as the 'fix it guy'. Callsign: Mop-Boy

Heh. Only one that was the hunched over style I love.
I played MechAssault mainly, and fell in love with the Cougar, Madcat, and Blood Asp. Hence why I kinda avoided the giant robots.
Was tempted to put Marauder...but I can't stop thinking I should change to Battaloid, jam my rifle into it, shoot it to pieces, then switch to fighter mode and fly away.

I've actually been thinking it over, and I think that Dylan and Alex might round out Erin's "Team 1" better than Bertie and Frederick. Why? Because D and Jack both pilot lights. Bertie and Frederick both pilot mediums. Alex and Dylan, on the other hand, pilot lights (a Flea and a Panther, if I'm not mistaken). So maybe Erin has plans for Team 1 to be a light lance (so she can send them into light tournaments, which would exclude the mediums) and have Team 2 a medium lance, possibly with Elizabeth's Cicada added in, possibly with Voss since he's got some medium mech experience. She can always mix it up more in unrestricted matches, or course.
Just brainstorming.

Thom, was pretty much looking to leave it open as to what happens next. Jack's going to be trying to avoid a fight, he's just twigged that this *might* not be some petty grievance of Erin's, so there might actually be a guard needed. Since he dropped these two, he armoured up with what he could quickly (Ringmail coat is easier to toss on over your clothes than full flak), grabbed the shottie and is waiting at the door until replacements show up. Wasn't planning on literally hauling out Von Bremen, but wasn't sure what you had in mind for him either - he's your character after all. So not sure if he'd just send a replacement pair or go down and speak to Jack in person. So it's all up to yourself what you want to do, or if you want me to do the post. If you want to insert a conversation between Jack or Dan with anyone, just let me know and we'll work it out in PMs and then post it.
Guardian, I could be convinced to join in with the assassin play, but there are a couple things you should be aware of before bringing in Jack. The first is he has no patience for politics or people attempting to kill him. He'll be straight out to kill her, which may step on your toes a bit depending on what you're planning here. Doubly so if he realizes/hears she's ISF - but additionally, then he'll be stepping on Erin and Von Bremen again if he thinks the Dracs are out to get him because of them. Jack is the 'http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WhenAllYouHaveIsAHammer]When All You Have Is A Hammer[/URL]' character of the party right now, he's only ventured into the realm of subtlety once so far this RP, and that was just all the better to swing the metaphorical hammer with. So you may want to wait a while before bringing him in or choose someone else. I'll leave it up to yourself though.
For the press conference, I was literally thinking Erin calls in a few reporters and they do an interview with Jack in the atrium or something - not a public speech to the crowds from a balcony. So anyone who tries to kill him is going to be right in front of him, in a gated compound with (what sound like) LOKI/Lyran infantry crawling all over the place (And no doubt a few present). So they'd better pray they actually kill him.
Unrelated: I also just noticed it's the same day and Jack should still have had his cane/claymore. Oops. Thom, if you post, mind and mention he's favouring his leg and maybe limps a bit. I'll try and remember for the next couple of IC days to have him use it on occasion, depending on how much it's currently irritating him, his mood, etc.
