I'm kinda in the same boat. Twice I've tried writing something whit D in the Dump. But can't seem to write anything down that I think is decent.

Plus been playing by email with my old GM. Running the character I've been playing for the better part of two decades...

That's funny, I was thinking almost the same thing, though with "Vulpes" in place of "sparks" :P

Well, in a way...we've managed to poach a professional game designer from his studio to come work with us on Squidden (our 48-hour game challenge project), so this looks like becoming a serious deal. We've stripped the game back to its core mechanics and are rebuilding it. And I just got made art lead, so I've been a little busier than normal researching art styles, possible narrative directions and funding grants, as well as sorting out my team. So my creative/thinky side is somewhat sapped at the moment.

With any luck, we'll be able to launch in competition with MWO! Yeah!

...Okay, not really, but hopefully this'll be available on iOS and Android later this year/early next year. Til then, I may slow a little in my posting habits, but should be right to keep going. :D

Dude... I was just posting. Had about 5 paragraphs of GOOD stuff when the computer kicked me off to 'update' lost everything.

I'm not sure if I should throw the laptop out of the window, (I live on the 3rd story) bust out the 12 gauge and shoot it, or run it over with the car...

I HATE THIS LAPTOP!!!

Ouch, that sucks Thom >< I think you can disable autoupdates?
I'll get a response in with Dave talking to Sage's char, probably to Rick as well if he's joined Rainbow? Hopefully by the end of today.
I've kinda been distracted - got asked to be Godfather for a friend's daughter, Homestuck took another level in badass, and I really do need to start working on my resits...

B)

I hate losing good work, it's like losing part of your soul. I totally empathise.

Hope you can recover it from the vaults of your memory.

It's all good. I had all day to kick around ideas at work...

Oh yeah... @ Sparks/Vulpes, should I wait for Vulpes to respond with his two cents or just assume that he's good with Erin's deal? It's not like he's not getting what he/Sparky wanted......

Assume he's good and just being silent, signing the forms and perking an eyebrow as he hands it over.

Creative juices are currently only filled to the fail line.

I quite enjoyed the read - and indeed it does sound like we could have a lot of fun in a team match

You think so? I wasn't unhappy with it, but I wasn't overly chuffed either - felt a little too much like just filler to me, even though it was getting talking to Sage and setting up why the radar and Jager aren't up and running.
I mean, it did the job, it just felt kind of subpar if you follow me.

Well it was filler... But I did like how you fluffed how the Taysider's sensor backage wasn't working... I wouldn't have thought of it.

It's kinda cool seeing the background characters from time to time....

I do like writing Dan normally, it's a nice change of pace from Jack since he's more of an average Joe guy, I guess I just don't feel the same sense of achievement as I do after getting a Jack post right since it's a lot less work to do it!
It's funny you should say you wouldn't have thought of it - a couple of days ago, I wouldn't have either. But then I was doing some reading and I found hard drives have multiple layers and partitions (something I knew, in a kind of round about way, but had never really thought about) and I thought 'Hey, maybe a magnet could scrub some data, but not all of it?' and went from there.

Will finish up the firefight, and then proceed with Dylan finding out, he is going have another match.

Yeah, that was an excellent idea.

Finally read up the JF RP.... just trying to figure out how to get Thom there...
