EDIT: Uh Sage, where'd that Cataphract come from o.O I thought the official line was the Rainbow Stables didn't have anything heavier than a medium, barring the two heavies Jack just showed up with.

I'm still trying to sort through the previous posts. I found DeMarkus' character profile, and it said that he used a Cataphract, so I figured that's what he would be using in the match, so I used it as a placeholder. Sorry about the mix-up, so I'll just change "Cataphract" to Battlemech for now.

Oh, he's running a commando at the moment, but feel free to work on Jack's Jaeger/Urbanmech a bit. Gives me an excuse to have Dan talk to you, which should get you talking to PCs soon enough!

Around 8 am I was passes out drunk. I havn't puked that much since I had food poisoning back in '98....

If you mean IC (sorry still haven't got a chance to read your RP forum yet.) He's most likely laying low with Swampthing stashed away.

Yeah he had a 'Phract... It's what he used when he was still with the CCAF. But DeMarkus self destructed the Cataphract in the middle of a Davion lance... (He doesn't fight fair, he's a Cappy afterall...) While ejecting, the bolts on the canopy didn't blow off correctly and he punched out through the ferroglass which shredded his left shoulder muscle. He underwent myomer reconstruction of the muscle there. The scarrs on his face is from where a SRM from a Davie Javelin hit the cockpit and shards from the glass got him in the face.

DeMarkus was passed out in his dorm room. It was the first time he slept in a bed for awhile... the command couch of a mech is no subsitute.

He's currently getting a ride out to look over the Dump where his fight the next night is.

He has one of the guards that Jack beat up driving him out there... I was thinking of having Von Bremen go as well, if for no other reason than for him to get away from Erin.. if you're planning on having that chick assassin make an attemp she's gonna need something bigger than a knife...

Sorry Jeremy, I thought about keeping it PG, but I'm a little drunk myself (Turns out my local pub does 2.5 pint glasses of Erdinger for €10. Who knew) and it didn't seem to quite suit Jack to play the gentleman!

Does anyone know if Erin has a last name? I had a read through the RP and don't think I've overlooked it, but I could be wrong.

If not, can we give her one?

He's talking to someone else, right?

Was trying to think of what Izzy and Nicky would do next; Not sure what I can do anything else, lest it go to R.

Any ideas?

Would be funny if Izzy ended up dancing for Jack xD

"Wait, aren't you -"
"Oh god, it's YOU!"

Oh, the hilarity that could ensue...

Aye, he's talking to someone else, he was watching Izzy and Nicky.
And that would be amusing...

Jack stopped in his tracks and shook his head in brief confusion at the dancer being shown around the mechbay. "So ye lot dae house calls noo?"

EDIT: I love this trend I've started where Erin has gone from a smart and highly trained LOKI operative to being a scornful tart nobody likes.
Woops.

No. When I first wrote her she was just some unnamed lowlevel LOKI chick... Mr. Kirnov gave he the name Erin... I did have her be called 'Countess' once. Figured she could be some sort of Lyran noble way removed from any sort of true power.

I'm thinking she's sort of like 'Count Vintos' from the Warrior Trilogy. As far as I know, he only showed up during Justin Allard's trial/witchhunt...

So I'm perfectly fine with you giving her a last name.

Also I need a good sounding Italian lastname... for a NPC noble.

Good post guys. Love them.

I'll try to summon up the energy to post at length tonight when I get home from work. It's always fun to write from Erin's POV..

Question @ Rogue. When you were at the Dump, who was Jack talking to? Min?

Oh sorry, my bad. I was talking to Min - but Jack didn't know who he was for certain until he threatened DeMarkus. I'll translate the accent and try and tone it down a bit in future.

Min: "So you're not the Hangman, he was here earlier, but your guard has the same silly band. So who are you?"
Jack: "I'm the man who's pumping your Mum. Go away <An insult I have forgotten>."
Min: "Angering me does not bode well for your stablemate."
Jack: "Annoying me doesn't do anything for you. I don't know the Hangman, I'm just looking at the arena. If I wanted to talk to you, I'd have told you. But I don't. And from what I see...good luck to you neighbor."
Min: "Neighbor? Isn't the cliché 'friend'?"
Jack: "Who says you're my friend? Just remember if the Hangman doesn't knock you down, you'll be fighting Vicious soon enough. And that...I've never found one who actually expected what he got."

Also, fl*pping the b*rd is blurred out by the censor? Dammit PGI.

I was actually going for "halfway decent negotiator" rather than any actual scorn.

How about d'Angelo for an Italian last name? Also, Taharqa has an excellent BattleTech character name generator over at http://taharqa.org/N...egenerator.html. Set a faction, set the number of names you want, and blam, a whole bunch of names based on the ethnic make-up of said faction. (Look familiar? It's since been built into MegaMek)

As for Erin's last name, I avoided using it in the last post, but I'll keep it in mind for the future, unless someone else names her first.

Izzy turns and glares, one hand on her sidearm. "Only if I get tripple pay, and even then, you'd better watch your hands." Her voice dripped with sarcasm.

She'd go sarcastic and get mad. THAT would be a brawl no one would want in xD
